Thank you! so glad this video was able to help you out, I was quite doubtful about it but you guys made me think otherwise ❤️ lovin the Godot community
I'm new to Godot and I had a quick question! Did you import the character as a jpeg into Godot or a different file? Also does anyone know of a free photoshop?
I have seen quite a number of pixel art teaching videos, this is one of the best so far. You are willing to share the key pointers which is lacking in other TH-camr's viedos. Keep it going. I foresee more subscribers on the way to your videos. I have not seen the 45 degrees technique anywhere else. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Im so glad I could help you out ❤️ I'm actually planning to go on and continue this tutorial with advanced character design and animations! stay tuned!
Any updates on the 16x16 series? I started using GB Studio and since it’s meant to be flashed to a game boy, the character limits are restricted to that size.
Fifteen or so years ago you couldn't browse even the smallest game asset site without tripping over pixel tilesets and base tilesets to start with. hard to find anything nowadays so thanks for the vid and keeping it alive.
Wow thank you for the GREAT explanation on this. I've been struggling with drawing simple things and coloring them with some definition but you made it so easy.
Hey I just want you to know, 4 minutes in I paused the video and tried to make something based on the only piece of advice (blocking out) and what genuinely amazed at how helpful that piece alone was. I'm really excited to finish the video but I just wanted to say thank you already, this has been amazing and incredibly helpful
@@EliCuaycong Interesting, I can't understand how you people can understand these tutorials and then learn how to create your own code :)) Maybe you can make a discord server, I know you are at the beginning, but a little discord server with just a few basics channels would be awesome.
Danny RO I started by simply copying the codes from the tutorials, then I start fiddling around with the values and seeing what are the outcomes if I were to do x or y . More of trial and error 😃 gives you an insight of how the codes work. I'm planning on setting up a discord channel but I still don't know how it works 😅

How hard is it to make a Pixel art sprite sheet? 1 warrior character? Thanks for the tutorial. I don't know what I am doing? How hard can it be?
Looks very cool! Had a thought - is it possible to do some sprites that come from famous games, and say, do a lesson tweaking them some to make them look better? I'd watch that for sure!
THAAAAANK YOU I am making my first ever video game where it will be a boss fight/bullet hell and I just could not figure out how to put what was in my brain into my game.
Cool video! Lots of the same tips apply to making website favicons. I subbed so I can check out the rest later. I just found out about your channel from Porky (Matt)
bro when adding new weapons to the main sprite is better to remake the full sprite draw or it is posible to attach/detach the sprite u want to change if it is related to combat system which approach is better?.
if i wanted to draw a character that looks like its from la plucelle tactics, or eternal eyes, or even final fantasy tactics (ps1)... how would i figure out what size i need to make it?
Eli: Are you that game developers that can seem to create their own sprites?
Me: Yes.
😆😆😆
Yes
I'm one of the Godot folks - thank you for this. I'd love to see more from you! As a frequent pixel artist, this was very helpful to me.

That shading bit with the 45 degree angles is a life saver. I've always struggled with shading, but you simplified it so much for me. Thank you.
Is this required to make a good game? Also do you have to do this every time?
