Yakitori! Or any kind of meat & veggie skewers! Been thinking of getting a Lumin and curious to see how some kebobs turn out! Great vid & very informative btw ✨👍
Awesome video! We just unboxed out new Weber Lumin electric grill, and you made it so much easier to get our steaks and salmon grilled just right from the get go. Thank you!
I have a pellet grill that I've only used once, strongly considering picking this up from my local Lowe's, it's electric and seems so much simpler to use and clean up, which is great for me.
I LOVE the grill marks this thing makes. I think it’s a great grill, especially if you live in an apartment or don’t have much space for a smoker/kettle. Going to use it a lot for sure!
I got a Weber Lumin Compact for my birthday in February. I have used it for Salmon, burgers, sausages, and ribs. I wish you had a few more videos on this cooker, cause I think it is a very capable cooker for those who are restricted to electricity only.
I bought the Weber Pulse 2000 electric grill around four years ago. It's been great. Makes life so easy. Yes there are traditionalists and I think that's great, but the electric grill suits me and how I want to cook outside. This Lumin grill looks fantastic.
Great vid. I am looking on Amazon at the Lumin and the Q2400 electric one. Confused on the Lumin, they offer a compact and a standard. Seems the Compact is more money, but they do not list the dimensions. Which one do you have in your video?
does the Lumin have a termostat? I mean can it be set to a certain temperature and it keeps it constant by itself without me keeping checking the temperature knob?
I have a Weber Lumin. One issue I noticed was that the heating coils will "power off" while cooking despite putting it on the max setting. Not sure if this is by design or not.
Great question! I’d suggest getting the sear the way you want then lowering the temp of the grill to finish the cook. That way it’s not burning anything but continues to cook sort of like an oven!
"Lumin is an outdoor grill and should be used outside, in a well-ventilated area. " - Weber. I googled this in 2 seconds. It was so easy, you could do it to.
Thanks for the review! I've been wondering about this grill. I have a pimped out chargriller grill2go, and it's awesome. Gonna have to wait till it gives out so I can give this one a shot
Is it worth it? Changed apartments, can’t use gas or charcoal, I know it will never taste the same. But is it worth it or just get a basic electric grill?
"Lumin is an outdoor grill and should be used outside, in a well-ventilated area. " Weber. I googled this in 2 seconds. It was so easy, you could do it to.
I just got one last week since we can no longer have gas or charcoal grills. I was surprised that it got to 600 degrees as advertised. First meal on the Lumin was ribeye and steamed asparagus. If you can only have an electric grill, this is a great choice!
@@JessePazzi No, not really. It’s a question. Is it better than a pellet grill? You can grill, smoke, steam, keep warm, etc. Although I didn’t do the actual comparison myself it’s a valid question that people may have and can answer themselves after watching the video.
I actually like the Lumin more than my Traeger to be honest. Just because I can do quick hot and fast cooks and my Traeger really doesn’t get too hot. I’ve been thinking about a recteq but that’s a different conversation! Nothing beats the offset my brotha!! Elite cooking there!
and what did you do when the controller failed after a few uses, and you found out you still, to this day, can’t order a replacement on this very expensive electric grill?
Cooked St. Louis cut last week. I bought extra tray thing (expansion kit) so whole grill can be a smoker. You put wood chips on the bottom tray, flip that riser piece so it’s all flat across. Gotta make sure the wood chips aren’t under the meat and it’ll provide a good smoke (drippings put out the smoke). The grill lid probe says 250-275 degrees the whole time. Very delicious and tender in about 3 and half hours.
How does the Lumin compare to the Weber Pulse series? Can you make a comparing vid? In my country the pulse 1000 is equally priced to the Lumin. Edit: ah i read you never tried the pulse, maybe you can help me finding some good comparison vids? Almost no reviews comparing them both , haha
Hi. Just got of these. How often do you do a deep clean on the inner bowl? Mine is already completely black after using the grill twice. Still goes up to about 550 Fahrenheit and performs really well Thanks!
We’ve actually used it a lot and I haven’t run into issues thus far but I understand your concern! Typically, I’m grilling hot and fast on this bad boy!!
@@GulfCoastSmoke I use electric and gas grills under my vent hood with no problems. Lots of fun to do

Nothing like cooking on your stove vs cooking on your stove outside... Umm what's the point? Outside cooking is set apart due to the smoke and flame...nothing nothing infuses flavor in meat like wood coals fire.
This would be great for apartment/condo dwellers but if you want a truly grilled steak, it's not available on this rig. A jack of all trades but a master of none. Sorry but this is a nonstarter for me.
It is! But, for what you can do with it I would say it’s worth it. They’re also coming out with a griddle attachment as well as an expansion kit where you can steam on both sides and all that! The fact that’s it’s very easy to move around is also a huge plus for me!
Loving my new grill! What should we cook on it next?!
Steam some clams with the steamer, then grill some clams on the grille side with butter and bacon bits 👌
@@Jbudd123Oh what a great idea on the clams!

can you lower the power or somehow adjust it in order to maintain a lower temperature for slow beef cooking?

40ish years Weber user and gotta say that’s my next grill! A Ma Zing!
Such an awesome grill!! We are loving it so far!
Possibilities are endless with what you can do with one of those. Weber never disappoints. Awesome video as usual 👊

With only one heat zone how would you get some sear marks ans still be able to cook meat well done and then not burn the outer layer?

great review. Is the Lumin beter than the Pulse?
Thank you! Honestly, I never tried the Pulse!
To make it easy to clean the grill leave it on for 20 minutes or so and the residue brushes off easily with the wire brush.
Great tip!!
Do you think this one is better than the q1400?

Can this be used with a portable battery unite?
Great question!! I need to test that out!
Love except it really is for outside my alarm fire goes off every time I use it w steaks

Don't start cleaning your grates while the grill is still used. Parts of that disgusting gunk went onto that brocoli.
If it uses propane it’s impossible to be better than a pellet grill
This grill is electric! No propane to light her up.
more cleaning than cooking
Because of the sponsors. This is hardly a review of the grill at all.
You shouldn't leave it on one side for too long. Flip it constantly and change the angle to avoid grill marks.
