    The only appeal seems to be to be able to tell others that you rode one of the worlds shortest coaster rides on a cruise ship. We assumed this was included in order to attract passengers so this video was certainly educational in making us aware. At least the non-existent line to get on the ride makes better sense now in the video.

    So like you, I live in Florida and go to the parks all the time. From what I can see from your point of view it was like a baby roller coaster ride. It looks more like a scenic ocean ride than a roller coaster. I believe the review was spot on. Good video as always. You need to cruise more often and do cruise reviews from on the ship. I think this is your purview. You do this better than the other guys whom I like but you’re just more suave and entertaining. We can call you Jay suave🥰

    I’ll be on the Madi Gras on the 28th I probably won’t go on bolt. Seems WAY to short for $15. Also I love roller coasters and this ride doesn’t seem very “thrilling”. I’d be willing to pay maybe $5 for a ride.

    • @mikepeter9479
      @mikepeter9479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@miked8817 yea you’re not convince me that $15 is a good deal for bolt. I can buy ticket to go to Six flags for $30 for a day and go on as many roller coasters as I want. All of which are longer and WAY more thrilling than bolt. $15 is a horrible price for one lap on a 5 second ride that’s mildly thrilling at best.
      Also I don’t go to casinos. And I enjoy cocktails so I’ll pay the price for them but I’m not gonna pay to go a ride that looks like I’ll get little to no enjoyment out of just because it happens to be the same price of drink I bought at the bar.

    • @miked8817
      @miked8817 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      agreed ! but there are two groups I can see that would enjoy it -- those that decide it is my vacation and they are a little less 'conservative' with their vacation dollars (just like you would pay more for that drink with the umbrella on the ship that you wouldn't pay for on your regular Sat nite date) and those cruise enthusiast who want to brag about being on a roller coaster on the ocean.

    • @emmib1388
      @emmib1388 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@julianigoe1291 yes-- that sounds fair- but consider -- it is new so people may pay more and as Jay mentioned -- they are checking to see if people will pay -- and if they do , it may stay , if not, it may get reduced. What I thought of is, those teens that have their cruise charge card with no credit limit ...and Mom and Dad find out how much they spent on it afterwards...because we know that whether on land or sea, when we (as a culture) pay by plastic rather than actual money , we usually spend more than we intended. But at some time later , I imagine a few conversations about how to spend your money wisely ! LOL

    I've tried this in November when i was on Mardi Gras.
    I was pleasantly surprised as to how fast it could go. I am a person who loves coasters so watching the video on this coaster I thought it was slow #WRONG.
    I get on the coaster, strap myself in the seat belt, and wait to begin. I'm instructed to wait until the light turns green but the person in front of me went while it was red. While waiting for the green lights i turn around and one of the operators told me to hit the throttle. GOT MY VOTE, I hit that suck to the max... then after a few seconds that succa flew out the gate and i was pleasantly surprised as to how fast it went. You get 2 Laps so it's a great experience

You've not ridden a roller coaster (OK, maybe if you've been to Cedar Point you have)... until you've ridden Tatsu and X2. Bolt... is not these... nor is it Kingda Ka, Bizzaro, or Fury325. It's not even Mind Eraser... but, since it's on a cruise ship... I guess we must give Carnival some props for it's attempt to put anything resembling a thrill ride on a moving platform, regardless of how large that platform is.

    Wonder how much time it will be off line.. like the Skyride. A real maintenance headache!

    Priced way too high. I felt like I riding on it through this vblog and just when I was really enjoying it…it stopped. Done. Ride over. Huge let down. Glad I didn’t pay $15. So thanks for the free ride😂. I’m good!

    I would do it...just once. Maybe I missed it, where is there a belt or something to secure you in the seat?

    It is pricey I agree but for the first roller coaster on a cruise ship it's an adventure.

    Yeah you right $15 Dollars is over price for this ride i said $10 agreeable price

    Hi Jay. I wish the ride had been a little longer. Cost, in my opinion is high for the length of the ride. Remember, Carnival says they're a family cruielines. This price will be tough on families.

    I'd understand 15 bucks a ride if you had multiple laps but for just one lap I would say 5 bucks makes more sense

    $15/ride is insane. It should be like $5/ride and that is already pushing it. If they really wanted to make bank on it and have it operating all the time they should charge like $3/ride or have some unlimited ride pass for the week.

    I thought they had a strict no camera policy? Also did you ride it twice? The POV shot the ship looked like it was docked at Amber Cove but you getting off was in Nassau. Or am I spoiling the secret

  • @keyman6689

    Was it rough? The coaster vehicle looked like it was bouncing and shaking pretty good.

    Was it very bumpy/vibrating? We will only ride 1x for $15 just for the experience. We are sailing in Oct. Thanks for your video!

    I could see 5 bucks or buy a day pass. Love coasters but not worth 30 seconds.
