Its funny how weed is legal in Portugal and in the Netherlands and the consumption is that low. That shows how effective their drug-policy is.

@@jd-uz1ln can you buy it in a shop. Are where can you buy it in portugal? Because If there is not a place you can legaly buy you can say it is legal but still buying it. Must be illegal. otherwise you should pay taxes over stuff. Thats how it is in the Netherlands. It's legal to sell in most Dutch "coffee shops" only the coffeeshop have to buy also from a supplier, this is illegal. And buying it from the shop is illegal also. Only its tolerated if it is not more than 5 gram. the advantage is that there is no 21% tax and it is quite affordable. although the construction is super weird but it works, and that's what matters.

It's a running joke among planetary scientists that "you can always go to Mercury and Venus."
If you have to choose between a Jupiter and Venus mission, you generally choose the Jupiter one, because if you don't launch it now, you might have to wait a decade or so for your next chance.
Counterintuitively, because the inner planets are easier to get to, we send fewer missions to them.

In Austria the surname written "Schmidt" doesn't really exist, except for Germans who settled to Austria.
The Austrian variant is either "Schmied" if it was adjusted to the modern German orthography or more likely "Schmid", as this was the spelling used prior to the rise of modern German.
In the older Upper German written language the "long i" was spelled /i/and not with /ie/. /ie/ meant the diphthong, which is nowadays often spelled /ia/.

3:08 fun fact about Basque: "arotz(a)" also means "carpenter" apart from "smith". I have seen it more used to refer to carpenters, as we have many other words to refer to smiths: errementari (literally "toolmaker"), burdingile/burdinlari ("burdin" means iron in Basque).
Actually, I don't think we have a surname literally being "Arotza", but we do have "Arozena", which comes from Arotz-enea (literally "the house of the smith/carpenter").

5:20 we’ll see drew, as a West Virginian who’s owned about 11 cats in my lifetime, I can say that the reason why we have so many cats is because if you have one person here, you have at least four or five family members here. And at least one of them is gonna have a cat. And most of the time, people here don’t get their cat neutered. And they let them out in the open. Then when their cats come home with babies they just give them to family, then the cycle can continue with friends or other family

The drug statistic of Portugal and its vast difference to Spain's is explained very simple: Instead of prosecuting drug users they educated them.
They legalized several drugs in Portugal some 20 years ago after having a *major* drug epidemic. "Half" the country was high all the time, police spending skyrocketed, prisons were full but nothing changed. Then they relocated a portion of the money into education and prevention with facts and not scary storys.
End of the day: Goverment spending decreased, Police can search for real criminals, Courts can sentence real crininal to prison, thousands of people don't get criminalised for a personal choice, black market has a hard ground, people can live in peace.
Funny enough, when people are allowed to and educated (properly without fear) about they tend to use less drugs and they tend to have way more control over their consume choices.
Almost like pushing someone into criminal circles for some weed is a bad idea.
