Ok for the audio part "IF" you have the Serato SL3 your good, in the mixer output of the REC you connect it to the AUX of the SL3 like when your recording a live mix. You should be fine and have no problems hearing the audio sync with the video mix you are doing. As the DocOptic said this is a Beta version so I'm sure once the new one comes out it should work with all Midi controllers on the Audio part.

I'm using Syphon Recorder and SL3 to record the sound. I notice if I record in (internal mode) everything is recorded fine but if i switch to (relative or abs) the control tone is being heard through playback. However the tone signal is not heard out the speakers..Why can't I record the audio in (relative,abs)? Please help!
So I followed the steps step by step and video is recording but I'm getting no sound thru the video I'm using a pioneer DJMS9 and mac pro, this is uber frustrating and dont know what to do cause I really want a dope video mix but one with sound please help further!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Not necessarily, if you want to record from a source within your MBP, I suggest looking into Soundflower or Sound Siphon to route your internal audio source for recording in Syphon Recorder. Hope that helps!
Hey thanks for the video very helpful! I use syphon the other week to record a video mix and it worked perfectly, now when I record video mixes the sound quality is awful, sounds very distorted even though I am clear of the red and the gains and master are low, do you know what this could be? TIA
Sounds like something on the hardware level. You might want to try and run run the "Audio MIDI setup" app on your mac to see if you can route all channels to one output.
i tried recording it turned out perfect but I'm not getting any sound. I'm using race TTM57MKII

I'm also on a brand new Mid 2014 Macbook Pro which only has the headphone out port.

Do i still need an external audio interface to record with a MBP retina display?

Hey, sorry that's something we wouldn't know. Maybe make sure you're recording to fast hard drives (i.e. SSD)?
When I record I'm only getting audio from my first channel and not the second.
