Absolutely! One of the pit bosses, Tim, remembers us whenever we show up. We started playing with low bankrolls a few years ago, but it didn't matter to him. Now we come back with much larger bankrolls (made Platinum in 2 days). He doesn't treat us any differently, but we come back because he always treated us well.
Is there Prime Rib still holding up as a good meal?

I swear that guy was the actual character when I was on a hot streak one night.. turned $400 into $5500 in 6 hours at the $5 table, "the cooler" came by and killed the table lol. He was super kind and didn't appreciate the title, but we used it lovingly.
Just left vegas vacation 2 weeks ago, ellis is my go to place. $5 blackjack and $5 craps. And the dealers are awesome!

I just got back from Vegas, our table hit the 'Make em All' bonus 4 times, 3 times in a single session, and was one number away from hitting it a 5th and 6th time, it was so crazy

I learned craps from you during the pandemic, played at Ellis, turned 40 into 240$ recently went back to Vegas and hit southpoint and did the same again. Ellis island is my favorite place to gamble, the dealers are the friendliest people you can meet, worth tipping these guys when you’re hot

I'm just starting to learn craps and love that I found your channel. This was super insightful so I can actually see live bets being placed. First few rollers had some pretty long rolls, at any point do you consider turning your bets off or taking them down?
Wow a $5 table is great these days. The only time I’ve seen $5 on the strip this year was a weekday morning at Sahara and by noon they had upped it to $15. I think weekends were $25

Ellis Island is one of my favorite places! The gambling and the food! Try the ribs! So good and with a players card, they are under $20

@@ColorUpif you’ve ever had smoked ribs from St. Louis, Kansas City, or the Memphis area then don’t get the ribs at Ellis island. You’ll be disappointed. Theirs aren’t slow cooked on a smoker. If you haven’t then theirs will probably be decent. I finished the rack because I was hungry. But I’ll never get them again. But I’m biased. I live near Memphis. Our worst bbq is still really good.

Great place to play. Was in for the weekend staying at a major strip hotel. The table minimums were $25 all day friday, saturday and sunday at my hotel and the other major casinos.Went looking for alternatives. Ellis Island has several $5 and $10 minimum craps and BJ. Table dealers were very nice, helpful and friendly. Plenty of cocktails and drinks. Clean, modern and relatively smoke free. 5X odds on all line bets too! How can you go wrong?
I like to hear a dealer who’s engaged in the action on the table.

I honestly can't figure out why more casinos don't still have $5 tables. If you're a casino, wouldn't you rather have a $5 table with 6 or 8 people playing vs a $10 table with 1 or 2 people?
Or at minimum have it $5 with 1 or 2 players, and raise to $10 once starts filling up. They seem to do it backwards

Heard good things about Ellis, just never been there yet.
Went 3 years ago right before Covid. Ate the $10 steak dinner. Sat next to a local who ate there every day. Said it was the best deal in town. Going next week for my 20th anniversary; this time eating at the Golden Steer. Did alright at the craps table not sure if I’m making it back to Ellis this trip.

Great video. I generally don't care for LIVE videos, but this one shows a lot of what really happens at tables. Especially with the Bonus bet. The lady standing next to you bet the bonus repeatedly and quit then it hits. I tell people all the time if your going to bet the bonus bet it all the time, or never. If you don't bet it all the time you will miss it. But you were right when you said it's a waste of money. Awesome Video.

@@ColorUp The ATS is one of my least favorite plays in the Casino. Even if you're hitting it almost double the amount you should, it still comes up as a tie or a loser.
The original payouts with a house edge in the 7% range isn’t bad, but most casinos have the new payouts which is in mid 20%…which is so difficult to overcome.
@@ColorUp The larger problem is that nearly everyone backs it up with a pass line bet. So 5/5/5 on the ATS is usually paired with a $15 pass line.
So you end up getting nothing out of the come out 7’s … and every 7-out costs you $30 not $15
That bleed out goes way beyond house edge and that’s the “secret” of this bet being such a huge money maker for the house.
I have a video in the works on this because I hate seeing people constantly donating to this!

I played at Ellis Island for 4 days. Bouncy or not dice rolls a 7 six ways. If you like the atmosphere there play there. Unless you're looking for comp that can be used in many different locations like Harrah's properties, etc.
At 23:45, the dealer forgot to collect the $10 in the field bet. The roll was a 6. Your "lady friend" casually pushed the $10 into the "Come" bet. Slick moved.
22:40 she actually placed it. Paid on the 3, then "lost" on the next 2 rolls, both 6s! Neither time was it collected before she pushed it into come bet....
I played $200 on the $10 table at Ellis Island yesterday, rolling alone, and hit the ATS with $5,$5,$5. Walked away with $1500.

They comp good whiskey for players. A great value on microbrewed beer. A short walk to the WSOP. Great diner. Classic Kereoke.
I played craps at Ellis on Father's Day morning. A guy hit the ATS twice in a row.
I never did see the dealer collect the tip winnings, just pressed them. Is that up to them when they want to collect?
Yes. A lot of times they will just follow what the players are doing.
I love your channel and learn so much. We have a trip planned in a few months, so for sure will be playing Ellis Island ! I have a question about dealer tipping. When you tell them whaterver, for example "dealer 6 and 8", and there are some rolls, then if someone 7's out. Do they still get their tips or do they lose those as well ? Kind of a bummer, but they could win big also i guess? How much is a decent dealer tip? Thanks and really enjoying the live sessions!
Yes, a bet for dealer loses with a 7 and they do not get anything if they have not collected a win yet. you are essentially gambling their tip. Some dealers prefer you just hand in, which is a guaranteed tip. There is no wrong or right way to tip, you can also just ask what they prefer. How much is up to you also, any tip is appreciated.

come on, as a 20 year casino worker in vegas, the first thing that should have been said in this video is always take care of your dealer if they are giving you amazing service, especially at ellis island where they get to keep their own tips.

The thicker the table mat is, the more a roller has to chuck the dice. This type of table is not good for set dice player’s.

Ellis runs one table at $5 24/7. On the strip it’s rare, some weekday mornings you can find it at places on edge of strip, Sahara, Tropicana…oyo also has $5

15:29 the guy two spots to your left gets paid on a come bet because the dealer failed to place it on the four prior to the shooter hitting the 7. The guy is lucky, but that type of stuff will get the dealer in trouble if they audit this game.
Pit manager has seen. Dealers are human, mistakes happen, it’s part of game. Players should understand their bets and payouts for sure. Mistakes go both ways

Yes. You can only take odds on pass line or come bets.

At time stamp 24.27 the player placed a come bet with the field bet the dealer forgot to take down after too 6’s was rolled. Hopefully that dealer doesn’t lose their job because a player was dishonest lol.

No 24 hour craps table. I live on block away. I went at 4 am to play $1,200 but no craps open unless you consider the new digital version. Digital machines, thats not craps, sorry. Thats a video game.

22:55. Dealer forgot to take your losing field bet down. 6 was the roll.. twice in a row dealer forgot. Then you slid it to the come bet .. you knew they forgot it and didn’t say anything.. haha.
well that was player next to me, but yeah, sometimes dealers miss things and it works in players favor

Got a 50/50 burger last time we stayed at Ellis island (half beef, half bacon)... DO NOT order the 50/50 burger medium rare! Prolly great medium well plus, but it was an experience, chewy raw bacon burg😂

Crazy to me how the dealers keep track of place bets and who has what.
Each players position on the rack has a position on the table. Once you understand that concept it’s quite easy actually

Each player is positioned in a certain spot on the layout. Then they just pay out each player in order. It’s quite a system.

he probably just habit of setting his dice to throw…the table was really bouncy though so, made any control impossible
