in first model when were you model that. welds are not available but at the end time of webinar two weld operations are added the major problem with your modeling is the column is created with 3 different members and bearing just add two when end of column. so loads can not transfer to other end. i found some other way to model this.
Hello, thanks for your comment. The column had been modeled like that because of the stiffeners dividing the column. In IDEA StatiCa Connection, you can't cut continuous members. The workflow shown in the webinar was the most convenient for the given model. Nevertheless, there is usually more than just one workflow for designing the connections in the Connection app. You always choose the one which suits your needs the most. Have a nice day!
