That was wonderful Lisa , very interesting how on earth did they think of doing all those different kinds of things! Thankyou loved that video as usual ❤❤❤😊
I'm glad you are continuing your dolls' house history posts! Slightly heavier fiberboard is called MDF. Bad news about fiberboard and these houses is that until 1971, fiberboard contained asbestos and caused major health problems for the factory employees. I wonder if they off-gassed after they were painted. The houses look similar to the tin litho houses, don't you think?
Love your videos about the history of different makes off dollshouses as well as the photos.Never seen one of these in the UK so maybe they weren't exported over here?Best wishes from Yorkshire Dales England.
We usually refer to the board by its trade name, “Masonite “. I have one of the Rich houses, one of the small and simple four room houses, no interior graphics. I love it so much and am always looking for another. I’d love to get one of the six room ones with the back staircase! I got this one a bit over a year ago and still haven’t furnished it. I keep messing around with it, I did some wallpapering but already want to do one room over again. LOL!
Well the companies sure have a r i c h history 😳 (🤣). Truly, I always confuse the houses from those companies. Thanks for informing us 😍✨ (Jimmy was that you? 🦜)
Always fascinating to learn about the history of these different companies that produced doll houses. 😊. Thank you for telling us about them.
