As someone who also does the solo cruising I feel you on that buffet and poolside aspect of things, gets a wee bit stresstful for sure! Would have to say tho, the lounge experince for me has been so different over the 4 ive been on this year, Really do find nobody comes along or chats, unless they want to nick my spare seat lol
But totally get you on the idea of the longer cruise lengths, think I mentioned about my plan for Queen Elizabeth in the Caribbean for next year (after her hush hush Queen Anne refit!), its a 9 night 4 port one and im totally feeling that mix of explore, chill, explore, chill 😀

Ahh, Cunard is such a great line for solo’s - you’ll get solo coffees every morning and evening catch ups - you’ll not struggle to make friends on there! Thanks a lot for watching!’

I really enjoy your videos, they are so clearly “real”. You are not getting complimentary cruises to say nice things, you show what a budget means! We have accidentally put together a retirement extravaganza, which starts Monday (Sunday if you count flying). It started with buying a 28 Legendary Voyage to Alaska, interior cabin, next June-July. Then we started to get too many various Casino offers from Holland (I really don’t think we play that much, with just a couple exceptions), and just kept piecing together. Of course they are not free, with port fees and expenses, but by avoiding most flying, with groups of back to backs, we have 227 days booked in the next year. And another 12 in February of 2016. If we had planned it, it would have made more sense, be we wont have to cook, or clean, heat (or cool) the house, drive cars, make the bed, etc, for a huge part of the year. There’s a chance it’s too much, but we are excited now!

Fraser, I was on your journey with you. i loved every minute - your warm, sweet personality just made it so much more than just a bunch of videos - you are a friend. I live in NYC and it was so great hearing you gush about New York. Just want to add that I've traveled a lot, and always tell people that Scotland is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL place I have ever been! Looking forward to your next adventures.

Hi Fraser! Thanks for your thoughtful responses to my questions. Maybe the best is knowing that I'm not weird -- the very same things happened to you. Getting ready for 15 days solo through the old locks.

Enjoyed this, thanks Fraser! I definitely think you should do Hawaii! If not the entire crossing on your line of choice, then fly there and do NCL Pride of America. I always wanted to go there. I love volcanoes. 😁 (loved the summary at the end!!)

I loved this series. I came upon your channel a few months ago and it quickly became one of my favorites. I like that you’re down to earth and you give honest but kind reviews. I’ve only been on 2 cruises and about to go on my 3rd in 9 days. All 3 will have been on HAL. Thank you for great and informative reviews! Looking forward to the next!

Hi Fraser! Thanks for this video. NCL has a 7day Hawaiian cruise that visits all the islands. And the ship, Pride of America has solo cabins. It may be worth looking into. It’s definitely on my list of cruises to take!

What a marvellous session with so many different topics and useful information. It was interesting about how much clothes planning is essential for a long stretch and also compact luggage. You managed a capsule wardrobe Fraser! Maria Sadler, and Melissa Merrell both TH-camrs would be so proud of you. Yes, I agree your method for Q&As is better than Live as you can insert clips to demonstrate what you are explaining. Thank you for this and the whole series, and looking forward to your next adventures.
