That "cave" is actually the future Bat Cave from the 1966 TV series Batman. Of course, it was used in countless other movies and tv shows long before Batman and is still used to this day. It was actually a short tunnel that came out the other side, not a real cave.

It's Bronson Canyon/cave. It's directly behind the infamous "Hollywood" sign, and the shot of the Batmobile exiting the cave was shot on the Fox backlot...
