As many of you know I started my TH-cam channel filming American Bullies, for my channel BullyBadAssTV. I don't film many American Bullies these days, but I was very excited when Abisai contacted me about filming Gr. Champion Sampson. I had been hearing nothing but great things about Sampson and seeing him in person, the boy did not disappoint.
Sampson one of the youngest dogs to ever achieve Grand Championship status in the ABKC, is an amazing specimen. It is very easy to see how this boy is doing so well in the show ring.
Tammy and Mark Wagner, Sampson's owners are relatively new to the American Bully breed. But they had an amazing start working with Am Bully legend Ed Shepherd. Mr. Shepherd spent a great deal of time mentoring the couple and his advice has gotten them off to a great start.
Bunch of haters any of you would jump at the chance to own this dog💯,with that being said this dog is super nice nice legs nice front nice rear a lil high but he's put together way better than most,those jaws and his muzzle (no to short not too long)on that head and still growing,this boy Killin it

Here’s a challenge: make a video about chihuahuas! I’ve seen so many of them with bad head structure and awful temperament... it would be cool to see a serious chihuahua breeder with similar goals as the shepherd/ Doberman/rottie breeders (breeding for health and good nerves).

@@jg0037 Nope i own dogo argentinos and there isnt a day a 5lb chichua wants to kill my 100lb working dogos. Breed is agresive to anything, overprotective and barks 24/7 and has no purpose. My dogos have killed 3 chihuahuas in 4years cuz they attacked him and then they blame me and my dogs, fking idiots!

I can respect the idea behind American bullies. Folks wanted a more laid-back bulldog and something akin to a designer breed. These dogs get some hate from fanciers of working bulldogs like the American pit bulldog, but I think we should understand that they are an entirely different beast. I'm a fancier of the original working bulldogs myself, but they are not for everyone. In fact, most folks seem to not be the best match for a game-bred bulldog. Some folks want a bulldog with less go and more show. Nothing wrong with that. I'd rather someone get a dog they can manage instead of getting a dog with drive and athleticism that they cannot manage and end up in trouble or are force to get rid of the dog. Some folks talk about the these bullies being too bulky, and I can understand that, but that is what their fanciers like. It also helps to better distinguish them from the lean, agile working bulldogs so that people are less likely to confuse the two.
Swell Character Some of these are functional they are just more of a house pet... if people added apbt in them which some do they would get monsters very muscular working dogs then.
American Bullies are not Bulldogs, at all, they’re a Bull-and-Terrier.
Nor is there any such thing as an “American Pit bulldog” the breed’s name is the American Pit bull TERRIER, if you’re going to be a “fancier” of a breed, at the very least, use their actual name.

Taco Salesman your a moron... there is the original bull and terrier, the apbt is two lines of whippet mixed bull and terrier, you have bull terrier which is the of pit bull with a terrier, there is amstaff which is og pit bull with bulldog... and bullies are amstaff x apbt x bulldog and mastiff mixes.

Taco Salesman you are mixing some stuff up. The original bull and terrier became the APBT. Who also were called bulldogs from the dogman who created them who were successful. American bullies definitely fall in the bulldog category. Depending on category of American Bully they have more of what today we would call traditional bulldog blood in them. The whole point of the American Bully originally was to create a bullier APBT/amstaff.
The short bullies never looked good to me. The standard size bully is a beautiful dog when bred right.. it's taken me a long time to like the bully some breeders do it right some are just not making good breeding decisions which is making the breed its self look bad.

My girl is smaller(her moms micro her dad is pocket) and my buddy has a boy from big dogs Romania and he’s about 9 months now and he’s a big boy. 65 pounds so far but he’s big head and neck. Same height as Samson he’ll probably be his size

Great work on the video, Zeke! I'm not a fan of this breed, however, I do like that they mentioned the longer muzzle for breathing. He's also got a beautiful coat and color. I just cant get on board with the breed...too short and stocky. The head is too big on a dog that size. Jmo

She's right, they did change the look of the Am. Bully. Originally the Am. Bully was intended to be an apbt/Am. Staff type of dog with less drive and more bone and substance than the apbt and the AST while retaining the features of the apbt and ast on a larger but more compact frame (Prats king kamaly, Suarez bulls checkmate, RE. Short shot etc) now they look more like bulldogs and mastiff.....

Also having a sweet and stable nature is important of course, but that doesn't excuse the structure. It's not like you can only have a good nature or a good body. These bullies are relatively new and dogs with good dispositions and good, canid bodies have been around forever.

Guys this is a companion breed not a breed where you work out your dog all day or put him in competitions not everyone wants a game dog or dog with a lot of energy that can have behavioral issues if that energy is not released

I still want my companion dog to be as healthy as possible. This dog doesn't look healthy to me.
I have no issue with companion breeds: most people can't handle a high drive, athletic dog. However I do have an issue with people making breeding decisions that create structural health issues. This dog is not balanced in it's build, and it won't take long before you see issues with spine (ask Dachshund owners) or with the huge head making it impossible to give birth naturally (as with English Bulldogs). Stop breeding for extreme and aim for balance instead.

Good Bully breeders, health test their dogs and guarantee them just like any other breed. There are backyard breeders creating shitty dogs that are unhealthy in all breeds, this dog is not one of them stop hating with no valid reason.

There are alot of breeds that you can make videos about, example the swedish vallhund, dalmatians, chinese red dog or the bully kutta, just giving you some video ideas.

They do look nice... But most people prefer working type dogs.... If 1 of these dogs go an a long hike goodluck they will not survive
It's not hate. It's just pointing out that this is a terrible structure for a dog to have to live with.
Benjamin Duran most people prefer a loving pet and that’s what you get from these dogs. I have two and I walk and run with them all the time. I can’t take them on hikes but they’ve both been walked and ran up to 5 miles plenty of times. As long as the dog is hydrated he’ll be fine.
The ones that die are the ones that have Bulldog heavy in the bloodline. The Exotics that shouldn’t even be considered American Bully. This dog is far from that. Trust me I know where your going and in some circumstances you’re 100% correct. This isn’t one of them though.

Is there a standard for these dogs? It seems like there is a huge variation in height, ears, so called Champs with Chippendale fronts, out at the elbows, knitting rear ends sway backs etc etc? American bully is the actual breed name classes go from pocket, standard and XL there looks change a bit depending on bloodlines and if the breeders are actually breeding the standard ABKC has the standards listed on there website
Someone once told me that Bully's are the Garbage Pail Kids of the Dog World - well I wouldn't go that far but the intentional breeding toward a crippled dog leads to future health issues is just plain selfish, inconsiderate and immoral.

Taco Salesman look upt bulletproof bullies most better fights on mailru and others are from pit bullies or pit amstaff which is a bully, the gameness of apbt has lacked and they ran over with bigger dogs not amstaff or mixes of them aka bullies when with apbt.
Taco Salesman I bred dogs and watch fights all the time apbt has no strength compared to a 200 plus dog who latches and kill bites but amstaff do unless like 250 plus and then bullies are more for larger bit performance ones.

Am bullies would be an awesome breed if they weren't so deformed. Most people don't want or can't handle a game pit bull. it's a good idea to have a breed that has the look of a pit without the extreme pit bull personality.

You get a dog that won't climb over your fence, won't run off to go hunt something and get itself run over by a car, and won't destroy your furniture when you don't have time to exercise it.
Though I prefer athletic dogs myself, I can definitely see the appeal for people who just want a cuddle buddy without all the work.
