Thank you for the kind words, and yes you are correct, I had set it earlier and didn't notice until after shooting and didn't want to mess with it too much in post. Oh well.
Hey Justin, thanks for the review! I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experience. Have you considered getting the Tamron 28-75? I'm on the fence on which lens to get. Please help
I haven't used that lens myself, but if you want to trade a little range for a 2.8, it looks like a good deal. From what I've seen the complaints are minor after the firmware update to fix focusing. Jason Vong, Max Yuryev and Manny Ortiz have some good videos about the lens if you haven't already seen them. If you decide to pick it up, let me know what you think!
Great Video! 👍 Quick Question, I recently got the GoPro Hero 7 Black and also plan on getting the A7III but I purchased the Sandisk Extreme Plus instead of the Extreme Pro SD Cards. Do you think there will be any problems with that?
They should be fine according to GoPro gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations I think last time I looked it up the pro was overkill but I had already ordered it.
You're right, they are different lenses. The G won't beat the GM in mounted low light shots for example, but for 99% of shots anyone cares about, or for a travel setup, the quality is comparable. Plus you get optical stabilization in the G, which will help for handheld low light. I haven't had the opportunity to use the GM so I admit I'm speaking from what I've read. I found these results interesting when I was trying to decide: www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4261824 And of course the G is meant to be used with profile corrections which is less than ideal.. I'd love to see other comparisons if you have a good one. Cheers
mmmmm feels great what a nice video budd!
Great video Justin, for the picture of Utah Canyons (red rocks) what lenses you use?? Thanks and keep making this videos.
Thanks, will do! Except for the lunar eclipse, all those pictures were taken with a Canon 18-135 EFS kit lens on a Rebel T4i.
Set up your white balance to auto at least. That blue shift is real lol but nice job on the video and welcome to the sony team!

Sorry, It’s not on par with the 24-70 GM but still a great travel lens

The 24-70 f2.8 is not that much better. It scores about 1-200 higher in mtf
