I'll be totally honest, I can understand why they'd cheat out of the wither fight. Most of the packs they've been playing lately are unreasonably difficult and obtuse, but whatever mod adds that blind+concussion effect can get fucked quite frankly.
It's "enhanced visuals". In the most recent update it was disabled in the pack. Also, the arrow of doom doesn't work on the wither since the wither is immune to potion effects.
Rasmus Armstrong-Funk this pack isn't hard it's one of the easiest and they can just get rid of the mod for the screen blinding thing

I for one like to see when I play video games. I can see how the blinding could get you killed many, many times. The visuals look nice but I still don't like how it can blind you.

Lol it's awful when the screen goes blurry because your eyes try to focus and adjust but it doesn't work.
Please play Sevtech, it's a really nice modpack with nice progression. It involves developing through ages and unlocking technologies. It still has an objective but isn't annoyingly hard.
I liked the Overgrown Beta. It has at least some fun stuff to play with and a huge city to explore.

I'd love to see them go back to Arse Magic (hell, even the original ARSE magic, Simon's ARSE mines from Magicka), but they don't make their own modpacks anymore, and the only one who's making packs with Ars in them nowadays seems to be The True Gingershadow, and his packs are generally themed after some anime or another, plus he's a smaller TH-camr (well, smaller than any Yogs channel, at least) and fairly niche (since, again, everything is based on anime stuff for the most part), so they wouldn't know him and probably wouldn't be interested in playing any of his packs. Plus his packs have to be manually installed because he just releases a Mediafire archive containing the mods and any necessary config changes since the packs are more intended for people who watch his videos and want to get on his servers.

Doesn't have to be updated if you're playing a pack on 1.7.10. There's still lots of mods on 1.7.10, even still new ones being made, and the latest version of Ars is pretty awesome.

I binged everything now and honestly, it was a pretty hard modpack. Especially the combat seems hard when you have to grind for so long to get some proper tools, combined with the weird effects from mods and the super mob mod... and then all the fire. It's kind of interesting when something takes multiple steps to craft, except when it uses a ton of different machines while you have limited resources. A lot of people commented saying 'THE QUESTBOOK DID SAY' but honestly, it wasn't all that clear. It would be nice if it could just give a better description of what you're building and what it's used for. Though the grinding and trolling made it hard to watch sometimes, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think you guys did well and I applaud you for playing this modpack. GG

What a way to end! There really is a lot they missed, and many things they did _but mostly did not do_ could have been better--could have made the overall experience less painful for them, that's for sure! But simply escaping the Nether, was at least _one_ of the goals Duncan initially set for the series. You'll do space, and whatever else in a different pack if it's available there. In the meanwhile, consider a break before diving in to another one of these quest types. Having an end goal helps make an episodic formula for a video series, but you can also do whatever in a differently styled pack.

I'd love a new Wool Race as a nice change from challenge mod packs. Even if it's just 4 or 5 episodes long.

Quests are fine as long as they're not fucking terrible.
Sorry to be clear the pack is still under dev currently no quests, but the pack maker, not me (Emerald Kaptin), would like input from the community on things mainly quests.
They could try the pack "All The Mods"

Some advice if youre thinking about doing sevtech ages. Dont de sevtech. Its a blast learning to do everything in age 1 and 2. Age 3 becomes a slog needing to basically fully complete twilight forest mod to progress. Then age 4 shit gets ramped to 11 with tedium. Shame too because i loved it to that point. Maybe just do another kitchen sink pack?

I kinda want to see them play vanilla minecraft, but with a goal or something, like building a town. Kinda like Kim's series where they build things based off of other yogscast members, maybe like corner stone or something; but definitely vanilla and on HARD difficulty. (Mainly to see lewis or duncan complain about how hard it is to do things without the crazy OP mods)

Ingredients to fight the wither in any modpack: a witherproof cage with as little space for the wither to move and a single window to shoot/punch it through (usually obby is enough,tho there is reinforced witherproof obby) and then a ranged weapon with enough damage. Just shoot through the single window of the wither cage, then hes an easy win.
I think you guys would enjoy sevtech ages. I just started playing it so I don't know everything that's in it and there isn't much help online yet but it explains things better then the packs you've been playing and I think it's right up your alley.

If I'm not mistaken, withers are invincible to arrows until they're at half, and that's just part of vanilla, but yeah, that was dumb
