Actually, simpsons had the team of very highly intelligent and graduated people, they were the writers only and specifically assigned to make possible predictions. They make around 50-100 predictions per episode, and having thousands of episodes with lakhs of predictions, some 10-20 predictions proving to be true is no big deal,with some being pin point accurate. I think that accounts to 0.00..01 percent success rate.

I really loved Simpsons Conspiracy theories and sort of believed them when I was in college.So I did some fact-checking about some of the theories I heard and are mentioned in this video.
The first one: Video calling (or facetime): It wasn't 'predicted' by Simpsons. It was conceptualized in 1920s. Yes. 1920s.
Reference: AT&T's Bell Telephone Laboratories video call with Herbert Hoover
First 2 way video communication happened in 1930s, again by AT&T.
Second: The smart watch, Seiko created T001 in 83, it can also be seen in James Bond’s Octopussy movie.
Third: GoPro (or head-mounted action cameras), NASA used such cameras way before Simpson, also they were used in sports. If we specifically talk about helmet-cams like GoPro, they are here since 1991.
Forth: Horse meat, there are many incidents reported before 94 where horse meat was served, famous ones Belgium 1981, Japan 1992. Eating horse meat was common during WWI too.
Fifth: What Simpsons predicted in 2007 was actually a publicly available information since 2001. The Patriot Act paved the way to this surveillance. Even before that, this was actually shown in a 90s TV Show X-Files. Also it was a popular joke in US since early 2000s
Sixth: Can be a co-incidence. I'd call it a news from future if they actually predicted the goals scored. In the episode Germany won by 2-0 but in reality, Germany won by 7-1.
