    Thank you , good informative video , I am an Electronics technician and I like this video, you were careful not to damage the screen while doing this job, the only thing I always do is I secure the four corners of the diffuser sheets that will make them aligned together and much easier installing them back, some tvs are more difficult in doing this job when the LCD screen is taped or glued to the frame which make this job either very difficult and higher chance of cracking the screen while trying to separate it from the diffuser sheets

    Great video. Fixed the backlight on a 65x8077G thanks to it . Note he wrote in subtitles to purchase the strips from shopjimmy. I missed that and the ones I got from amazon came without tape (2 weeks lead time) and the overall length was missing a few mm of length - so the ends did not lined up - had to spend extra time to ensure it is properly aligned. also don't be tempted to remove the side covers with them up i almost damaged the COFs . Do it exactly as he shows in the movie crawling under the table.
    I did not have a power supply to actually test the strips, just replaced them all straight as he said. you could fell how brittle it were after 6 years of use.

    Super video BD. Worked great for me ! My neighbor had the same problem with his and got some cheaper LED strips with no tape. I told him where to buy but he ended up getting them somewhere else without the removeable tape. I told him I didn't know what's best to or how they would be best to put on with two-sided tape or super glue on the high areas of the back plate? Any suggestions? Just a warning to anyone . The LED's don't all come with tape on the back. Glad I got mine at SJ. Thanks

    Everything went great except somehow the screen cracked in the corner. I inspected it when I took it off and everything seemed fine but at some point something happened. I'd say one of the hardest parts of this is finding space to work on it. Our massive dining table isnt even enough. Your instructions were great though.
    One final note. Be careful when removing the white plastic paper. It can tear pretty easily.

    Hi Big Dog, for those of us who don't have a LED tester, what should the output voltage (voltage going to LEDs) be at the backlight (one line) plug. If the voltage is good going to the LEDs, don't the LEDs have to be bad?

    • @bryanjohnston9879
      @bryanjohnston9879 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Gary these LEDs are usually 3VDC or 6VDC. The string Voltage can vary based on the brightness but for example, a 10 LED strip might be 30VDC at the input. When one dies (open or short) the whole chain usually fails. You can find other TH-cams where people show you how to diode check them with a VOM. I haven't watched the whole video but this guy might do it here...
