God, I love this game. I've never finished it 100%, yet I've probably sunk 500 hours into it. I actually started making a rom hack of it out of sheer love for the game recently and already released an alpha version to a controlled group. Pokemon Conquest is my favorite game of all time because of the sheer amount of content and replayability.
heres a fun fact motonari has a unique line of dialouge where he will say something along the lines of "i read in a book somewhere that in a distant land people carry their pokemon around in little devices called pokeballs" its a nice little detail that often goes unnoticed
FINALLY SOMEONE GIVING LOVE TO CONQUEST, I loved it and maxed it out, I really loved ranger guardian signs too, the lore and how in depth it was and the game mechanics were really good and enjoyable too, would really love a stream or vid on ranger guardian sign
This video brings back memories. I love this game. Always find myself wanting to reset and use different pokemon in it. I love the extra scenarios afterwards too. I hope one day we get a follow up game. The only thing I'd like to see implemented is being able to learn/use 2 moves, it'd allow 2 type Pokemon to use both types they have.
@Cedric Reyes yeah. It's tough. A compromise could be any coverage moves a pokemon naturally learns. But that could still run into problems. I'm not sure. But as-is, I feel as though that dual types lose the advantage of double STAB. Perhaps you can learn any 2 moves from the level up learnset? It could change the game to where support moves can be a staple. Although dual screens I'd feel would be overpowered.
i think a good compromise would be to have multiple moves available for the pokemons but only 1 move can be used in the battle so you could switch the moves just like how u can switch their abilities with a special facility
I had never known or played conquest games but this spin off Pokémon game was INCREDIBLE to play when I was younger! I remember writing, in crayon and colored pencils, the true linked Pokémon to every npc trainer and warlord and spending the majority of the first post game doing all the official pairings I could so that when you do the main game again but for real, everyone had evolved and had their true op Pokémon when I came to capture them again. My attention disorder had me HOOKED to this game and seeing this video made me so happy! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see the continuation of Fool’s journey in reuniting the region!
The game has a code system and I highly suggest using them, it makes the hunt for some rare Pokémon way more manageable and they have some stories behind them
@@mistaj9557 by code system they mean that codes were distributed to spawn certain pokemon In areas of the kingdom (I believe it's the one you're currently on) even if they don't normally appear there. So like you could spawn a Dratini at the beginning of the game if you wanted to have an eventual Dragonite. I'd mostly use it for a technical second starter.
This game is a fricking MASTERPIECE, no other game has captured me like this game since childhood, I've replayed many times and everything, *everything* holds up to my high adult standards. The writing, the art, the characters, the story, the gameplay, everything is perfect. Thanks for covering this, I love this game.
bought and played this game on 4 separate occasions over the course of 5 years the last 2 attempts i almost nearly completed 100% before wanting to either reset or just straight up lost the game cartridge, god i loved this game, hopefully i can go back to it if a switch version pops up sometime in the future.
Just commented to say I'm so happy that you played this game! I never finished it, but I remember that it was really good... But barely anyone talks about it! It's so cool!
Thank you for this video, I can't believe I haven't checked out this game before. I love all three: Pokemon, Warrior games and turn-based strategy, so this def gets added to the list
I hope you release a video on the other storylines or even just the the true ending when you do finish. Also it’s so much rewarding to have the characters with their true partners too
Oh my god this game. Loved it, one of my favorite games, doesn’t get a lot of representation in media but the black and white era (I grew up in heart gold / bw) was one of the best
Pokémon conquest was such a gem for me, I didn’t know what I was really getting into when I bought it as a little 10 y/o kid but I’m so glad I did, I’ll always cherish that experience and maybe one day they’ll make another one.
FINALLY, someone alive ACKNOWLEDGES this game! This is by far one of my favorite games for the DS, and I got so excited seeing this in my recommended. Very entertaining, and I'm glad you got to enjoy it as much as I did! I love all the stories in this little funky game. You have a favorite warlord? Mine in particular is Mr. Water Boy himself.
They need to continue in this vein. They need to either return to Ransei (how? Idk, however they keep pushing out Nobunaga's Ambition games where they just ignore all the other ones I guess), make a Pokemon Dynasty game in ancient China, or slide the crossover into the adjacent Warriors series and make a musou game (the closest we have so far is Rumble and it doesn't count). I also want them to add in a history gallery where you can learn about the real people!
Weird thing here: Tokyo Mirage Sessions was almost a Pokémon/Fire Emblem crossover. It’s because Conquest exists that the game ended up being a Shin Megami Tensu crossover. We were so close.
Growing up with not a lot of money, this was my first and only Pokémon game until high school and I loved it so much, nobunaga was such a cool name for a boss
Legitimately one of my favorite pokemon games. Ive not 100% finished it but the amount of hours are only beaten by my time playing Minecraft. The gameplay was interesting, the music was amazing, and its still just as fun to replay as is was the first time i played. The things i would do for a sequel...
Those fothermuckers at GameFreak brought us Pokémon "Scarlet" and Pokémon "Violet", but I'm still waiting for Pokémon "Fork" and "Pokémon Spoon". Btw, great video, never had played this game before.
Boy i love this game, i remember seeing it In a gamestop, and i HAD to buy it, probably one of my most played games of all time, plus being able to do most of the codes(looking at you reshiram) really made me have a great time
dude this game brings back so many memories this was like my 2nd Pokémon game but I lost the card for my ds and I’m still pretty sad about it because I believe I was close to beating it
Hi indutro I wanted to ask u a question what program did u use to add the encounters in the black and white 2 100 hers challenge I want to try the challenge so it would be helpful if u say it
My favorite pokemon spinoff, I remember getting this game on release day way back when, I've recently found a new copy to enjoy this game all over again after the tragedy of my first copy (It got flushed in the most looney tune accident I've ever had happen)
This game was a branch of my childhood… it was by far my favorite Pokémon game I owned and I still own it along with my 3DS. This game with an extended main story for Nobunaga’s, Kenshin’s, and Shingen’s would make it better than some actual Pokémon games *cough X&Y cough*… It’s actually a challenge to dislike this game, it can be played in a nuzlocke format but it’s very complicated. I hope they do remaster it on the switch sooner or later, but honestly I would be surprised if the company even remembers this game🤣
Absolutely love this game, got it while I was in Japan simply cause it looked so cool, couldn't understand anything yet still managed to play through it somehow. Found out by watching other TH-cam vids that I made questionable evolution choices but was too engrossed in the game to notice. Still got the box sitting on my shelf.
I know I never played this game but I swear somewhere deep in my memories the character designs and designs of parts of the game brings back another game I remember playing but I forget the name and some other major mechanics for some reason. I wish I could remember what it was
I didn't even know that this game existed. It looks like a typical older JRPG not like even like a pokemon game. Not that its a bad thing it just means that i would have never expected this to be a pokemon game just by looking at it
So funny that this showed up in my fyp as I just started replaying this game honestly one of the best pokemon games and extremely underrated would pay so much to play a new updated version
I remember walking into the game shop to look at what's new, and I saw this game. Firstly it's pokemon, secondly I saw the name Nobunaga on it, and I couldn't resist spending all my pocket money on it😍
The gen 3 era side game where you start with an eevee/eeveelutions is really good and the new mainline game based off arceus was a breath if fresh air to modern games The side game where you start off and with eevee and revolves around arceus? *A really good breath of fresh air from the gen 5 era*
I wish I didn’t have to sell games to buy new ones when I was a kid, I loved this game and it would be great to replay now. When I played it as a kid I’m pretty sure I never evolved a single Pokémon LOL
This spinoff needs either a sequel or a remaster on Switch already. Who's with me?!?!
YEESS!! I NEEEEED IT!!!
YEEEESSSSS!!!

A Pokémon Conquest DX would be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck with the project ❤
oooh I'd really love to play your romhack someday, godspeed!
I love that other people feel the same way about this game, I’ve had 2 separate play throughs, the first at 500+ hours and the second at 250.
I would love to play this rom hack

Easily hit 100+ hours on Conquest, awesome game. Would love a new one, the map capabilities on the modern console are insane
The game has a code system and I highly suggest using them, it makes the hunt for some rare Pokémon way more manageable and they have some stories behind them
Code system? Can you elaborate?

The art and music go hard as hell in this game

i respect you 20x more now. conquest was fun as hell when i was a kid

I love this game! Came across it by chance and played so many hours into it and completed all post game stories

Never gave this game a chance. I was into "only mainline games" phase. Looking back, it does seem pretty interesting.
I always hope that they revive this game with a sequel. It is truly one of the best spinoffs ever
My favorite pokemon game, finally someone is giving love to it
Great video Indutro
Now that people are so into mobile gaming...the only "successor" to this is Pokemon Unite
