I can imagine the world. The elves have conquered the western nation of man. The humans became servants of the elves. Because 72% of elves are female and the casualties of the war, the female elves developed an interest in the human men vastly outnumbered male elves. Unsatisfied with sharing a mate with dozens of their sisters, the elven woman developed an interest in the handsome human men. Because of their natural beauty, many men put up little resistance. The union proved useful to the elves. Instead of a half breed, the female elves birthed more elves. To ensure every female elf got a fair chance at a mate, the Great Hunt was created. Every year, the captured human villages would send their young men to participate in the Great Hunt. The elven women would have one day to hunt any man in the competition. If the man is caught, he must wed the elven woman.
