There was a subtitle card which says the water temperature was 106 C (at 20:55)! It should have said "106 °F". It must be a little confusing being a Canadian! Celsius for temperature but feet and inches for measuring.

I know that this is a late comment as i have only recently discovered your channel. A few years ago i made almost an identical hot tub . Three upgrades i would recommend , i welded some steel plate to the base to make it more stable , i welded six inch steel lip around the top edge and covered it with wood. It made an insulated shelf for drinks etc and a seat to assist getting in and out. it also stops water overflowing from the tub putting the fire out. I welded a short length of pipe to a hole just above the air gat at the base and fitted a brass faucet to make draining and cleaning it out easier. I really enjoy seeing you taking on the various projects.
Hi Michell, good morning. I told you, your MSA-140 Stihl chainsaw, would become your go to saw. Our friends had a large broken limb. Took my Greenworks battery chainsaw over and in no time, we cut it down, love not having to gas and pull starting saw. I had a total shoulder replacement last year and want to keep it working well. My friends are buying an electric chainsaw they were so impressed. Through this week went by fast, it’s not Sunday morning having my coffee watching you, but Wednesday. I used to work for NYC (retired), our in house painters were all Union and highly skilled. Their ladder choice was little giant with all the attachments. What a versatile tool that is. Extensions on legs for ground and stair adjustments. The ladder folded and planks make it a sturdy platform and to many other parts to hold tools and step off a ladder onto a work step while ladder is raised and so on. You might want to consider one, they are great, maybe a sponsorship pitch will get you one. Enjoy and lucky Steve, a girl who not only helps around the house but can build one, lol.

I truly love you making so many comfy spots on your property for you and Steve. Multiple uses with everything you make is the way to go. The trail is looking really good.
If you really want to clean up the Tub and make it a bit safer. Add some river sand (even fine gravel will work) in the bottom of the hot tub. When in there rub the sand around and the tub it will really clean up and it gives you a layer to stand on that isn't steal. I built something like this for my sister the sand is key. Great job on the project.
Watching you chop that wood really strikes one as being a highly efficient (complete) power transfer from your body to the axe. A thing of wonder and beauty. And, it is clear you need a heavier axe because you could clearly push it harder. I just love your mysterious smirk as you were coming up with and completing your plan for a hot tub.

Get a couple of those "pool noodles" and place them around the top edge of your tub there. Should make for a bit more comfortable place for your neck when soaking. I love this spot. Such a nice little area to spend time relaxing.

She had to have meant 106F because of im not mistaken water can not get hotter than 100C at normal atmosphere. That is the boiling temperature any hotter than 100C would become supercritical. 100C is 212F.

One little trick that might save you some power: if you use the hose to siphon the water out of the hot tub instead of pumping it. Looks like fun!

She had to have meant 106F because of im not mistaken water can not get hotter than 100C at normal atmosphere. That is the boiling temperature any hotter than 100C would become supercritical. 100C is 212F.
The recommended tub temp is no more than 114F at that point long exposure is actually cooking you.
Yes, I'm aware of the difference between C and F, it was more of a joke than anything else! You look like You have Fun...we used to Go To Plymouth N.H. , Everyone had Mobile homes on a Big Fast moving Creek at the beginning of the White Mountains . Had electricity so It was not Roughing it ...They even had a college there , Great Restaurants .. Elks Club , Huge in all Log cabin PINE ...
