I have a Lund quad fold hard cover and I believe that the little water that gets in is from the factory bed cap. I haven't looked into this but that was the issue with my Ford. Low-pro hard covers do make the truck look sharp! Going on second winter and I wipe silicone spray on the seal to help with freezing. Trak system is nice, but I couldn't lose that much bed space in a short bed.
Great video! Personally, I wanted something strong enough to stand on. Happened to see a Diamondback on a truck going by and immediately researched it. Expensive, of course, but lockable, aluminum, lifetime warranty, and rated to hold an ATV! Definitely strong enough to hold a rooftop tent, and plenty strong to hold me and my wife on our dual camp chair. It's not 100% water and dust proof, but could be with a bit of work.
It looks really Nice! I have the OEM cover and have had no issues with water or anything else. The only thing I wish is that it opened all the way to the cab. I lose a little of bed room but honestly it works really well. Thank you for sharing this with us I hope it works great for you! It looks very nice! 👍🏼
It looks great but I prefer the Peragon because it doesn’t take up any of the bed space, and it’s cheaper than the one you just put in. No drains needed either.
I personally haven’t noticed any issues. The hard one actually shows dust worse because it’s more glossy. The vinyl kind of helped hide the dust in my opinion.. but a lot of it depends on how dirty the truck gets and how often you wash it.
Looks really sharp! Going with a Snugtop GB Sport myself. Talk about overpriced 😢 Looked at the Smart Cap as well. Did you ever consider a fiberglass tonneau cover?
Everything is so expensive.. no two ways about it! I thought about doing a cap but that was almost a year ago.. I was concerned about height restrictions in the bed which is what got me started with a Tonneau cover. 👍🏼
That's the nicest tonneau cover I've seen. Now you need bed lights haha.

I’ve seen the diamond back and they look pretty nice 👍🏼

Clean! Did you ever think about a hard camper shell?
I thought about one for awhile. I was looking at the smart cap for quite some time, but went with the Tonneau.

Does the vinyl one get dusty easy? Does it always look dirty?

Nice, clean install I like it!
Thank you!🤙🏼

I use the Meguiars Quik Detailer Spray. Works like a charm!

How hard is it to remove the cover if you needed to? It's the best looking and most functional one I've seen!
It’s not very difficult. You would just want two people to take it off and on.
What type of bed mat do you use?
It’s the OEM one by Toyota.
Thank you
Nice review. Wow, lose a lot of space though. On a 5.5 box I can’t live with that.
Looks great 👍
Thanks! 🤙🏼
I really want a camper shell, but damn, there are too many companies/options, and the price.... so ridiculous.
Hey! Good to hear from you man! Haven’t seen you around in awhile? I know pricey…
@westcoasttaco Dawg, I haven't been getting any notification, so I decided to check, only to see you've been staying active and creating content.
@@USMC_LAterZ dang! Gotta hit that notify bell 🤣! Well regardless it’s good to hear from you. How’s the Taco?
It’s not @Tyger I can tell you that. Mine started curling up after 3 months.
Bummer… the tyger ones are usually around $150?
For $1.7K hard pass. I can get an ARE topper with three lockable doors for less.
