- Thank you so much to Clairol Professional for partnering with me to bring you a hair coloring video. As many of you know I wanted to go blonde once again but I was afraid for my hair considering how far i've come. Here are my results using the Textures & Tones hair dye designed for women of color. They have 15 other shades that you can choose from.

Update update from the future lol: soo it may not say ‘bleach’ but it is some sort of lifter soo still be cautious when using chemical on your hair. Again excessive amount of anything is never good❤️

It looks beautiful. Be aware however that that was likely a high lift dye color and that will only work on virgin hair. Any previously darkened hair will not lift with a high lift and will require bleach. Also, in spite of what these companies tell you there is no such thing as a color booster or a color lock in treatment. All permanent colors and tones will fade over time, but you can use a color enhancing conditioner to slow down the process, and as long as you condition to seal the cuticle, it will help prevent color molecule loss. Lastly, ammonia free does not mean that the color is not drying, stripping or damaging, it just means that it was replaced with a different alkalizing agent which will open the cuticle to allow the color molecules to enter the cortex. All alkalizing agents, including the sulfates in shampoos, will open the hair cuticle and leave it vulnerable to moisture loss and dryness. That being said, hair color is not necessarily damaging when done in moderation. As long as you properly care for the hair after it was processed with a nonsurfactant shampoo regimen, followed by regular co-washing and conditioning your hair will be just fine :-)
was it used on dyed dark brown or black hair and it lifted to blonde?

I’ve had my hair dyed black a few times, and I wanted to try this. I haven’t dyed my hair in almost a year, do you think this would work or would I have to bleach to help lift the darker color?

It only dyed me roots leaving my hairs even more darker from bottom

It looks beautiful..yes that is the same hair dye i use.. i had to do the process 2 times( 4 months apart) to get my blonde! i love it and will continue to always use it!!

I’ve been wanting to dye my hair this color for so long!!! But I always been too afraid to try. I got my hair texturized as a kid and the damage was very traumatic and ever since then, I don’t even like blow drying my hair. Right now it is doing so well but I’m afraid of dying it and messing it again. But your video really made me want to try it because you said that nothing went wrong. Thank you for the great video!

The booster is bleach...but I've used the colors for years as a stylist. Rarely see damage on healthy hair

@@m.mmoncada8100 it doesnt matter. ive used this while my hair was still straight, then i went natural and dyed it back black, and once my black faded, i used this again on my natural hair, the ends were as light as the roots! just use foils!

You said you had your hair dyed on dirty hair, but the instructions for all of their colors is to shampoo your hair 1 day before you color your hair. I used this color many times before. It is pretty on you though. Thanks for your video.

Any time you lighten your hair, some form of bleaching is used. Please don’t confuse people who might want to go through with this process but don’t want to bleach. -A licensed cosmetologist
This is not a bleach or lightener but a high-lift color.

Even regular color can lift the natural color of the hair. But to decolorize natural or artificial color with powdered lightener and a dedicated developer is not the same as using hi-lift color scientifically and are used for different purposes. Hi-lift color cannot decolorize hair or previously colored hair. It lifts and deposits. Bleach or lightner only lifts hair up to seven levels on healthy, virgin hair.
Hi-lift color is good for taking virgin healthy hair 3 or 4 levels some products up to five. I like Hi-Lift color on level 7 and 8 to create great high lights or used on dark levels 2,3,4 to create dark brandy highlights or on 4,5,6, to
create caramel. Great when creating fresh highlights on virgin hair.

Sooooo please don't judge me for this... But I just recently (3 weeks ago) dyed my hair back to black from it being bleached to red. But now I'm wanting to go blonde but was afraid of bleaching.. would this be ok to use tho I just dyed my hair?? Btw the color is so beautiful on you even more inspiration to go blonde.
I've blog so many ways to dye hair this is the best so far..I color my hair all the time and don't worry if my hair break or whatever bc I don't mind cutting it all off and starting over but I was looking for the best way and something I think that wouldn't damage my daughter hair and I think I will try this method on her...do you know if another color can be added like a red to change color
