Honestly, I’m 13 now, I was 7 and I used to carry this doll around with me, and then I got embarrassed and put him in a bag for 6 years, I only just stopped… like 2 months ago. Thanks for showing me that I can still “play” with dolls!

Hi, Kelly! This video is amazing! I am totally blind and not a huge doll person, but I stumbled into the reborn community and kept hearing about people reacting to these “silicone dolls “. So being curious, I purchased one. I just wanted to know what they felt like and what the fuss was all about. Well, I got my sensory world turned upside down today. My little girl is 12 inches long and 2 pounds but that was enough weight and enough softness and enough oh my God cuteness so just flip me over the edge. Lol! I don’t even have a name for her yet but I’m just glowing or some thing. Lol! It’s most strange for me. Anyway, I appreciate this video and as a blind person, I’m hoping I can be a good silicone baby mom.

@@clairew1987 yeah. She is so blooming cute! I have to find some real clothes for her though. It’s kind of hard because she is so small. She is 12 inches long, and 2 pounds and a chubby little butterball. She is still wearing the “dress“ which is about the same length as a shirt that she came with. The poor girl didn’t even come with a diaper.
I don’t know how good I did in the naming department, but I named her Silba, which is basically short for silicone baby. Not very exciting I know. Lol!

I think so. Thank you. When I just looked for “baby clothes “I got mainly results for normal newborns, which is over 5 pounds. Lol! Silba would disappear.

I usually don’t watch video’s that are over 30 minutes long, and I don’t even have a silicone baby, but I absolutely enjoyed watching this entire video, and I think your babies are beyond gorgeous ❤️

I’m so happy I watched this before messing around with my new silicone. She isn’t as expensive or fancy as yours but I still want to take super good care of her and I never would have thought about her fingers when dressing her.
This video was very informative. The silicone dolls definitely look more life like, but they also require more care than the vinyl babies. Thank you for taking the time to do this video .

In my opinion they are only more lifelike because of how they feel . Some artists can really make vinyl dolls look just as lifelike and they are much easier to take care of . But they are both adorable whether they are vinyl or silicone

I will have my first newborn size silicone baby in another 2 to 3 weeks and as I was looking for information on how to take care of Calimero (aka Thijs) on the internet I found this video. It has been really helpful. I have a lot of items for Thijs already. The thing that is missing is the mittens. I will get them this weekend so I can use them when changing his clothes. (In order to place a pacifier in the mouth of my preemie silicone doll I use Silicone Velvet care liquid. Works really very well.)

@@max1ne367 If you get a reborn of a size of a baby like preemie, newborn ect, then you will know around that it will fit good (ik im not the best at this but hope this helps!

I use a food storage bag (one you'd use with a twist tie,without the twist tie) to get limbs in clothing. Works great. Seen it done by another doll friend.

The vinyl melts! When I was a kid I put one of those rubber fishing baits in a plastic container and the plastic melted overnight. It was super sticky and I'm sure never hardened again.
