My point of view is that many of us will just make do with one backpack and we might have a waist pack or shoulder bag. We don't all have a collection of bags and tactical load carrying gear, multiple holsters, etc., so our choices are more about how to make use of what we have.
We have 2 hybrid bikes, and each have a back pack, and our German Shepard has his own bag with food, water and dog bowls. He runs along side of us as we ride slowly. We can get around real good that way.
Please teach him how to ride a bike
@@Jaypc06 Great idea!
This seems pretty "Red Dawn-esq" a lot of folks who are into emergency preparedness live in super rural areas like myself, I'm more worried about mother nature than anything haha. Blizzards get gnarly and come in fast in Idaho so my get home bag is 99% weather related. Seems like good set ups for people who live around a lot of other people though.
My favorite medium pack is the Bergan of Norway 30L pack. It's a internal framed pack that is no wider that the shoulders so is to not get hung up on branches and brush. The color is a low key green almost like a faded olive drab. In a urban environment I use a bright colored back pack cover to disguise the military appearance. The pack cover comes off when I hit the woods to blend in.
The only thing I don't like about your set-ups is that all the weight is in the back. I use a add-on system where I start with a camo fanny pack with bare essentials like poncho, 2 canteens, fire kit, IFAK, hand gun, etc., then I add a chest rig, primarily for weapon mags., ammo and ready-to-eat food, then I add a backpack, about 30 pounds with basic camping/cooking gear, more quick-cook food. If it's INCH bag time, I have a garden cart (pre-loaded) with more tools and food. Additionally, I have several buried caches for resupply! Hopefully, I'll never really need to use the cart!
Need a Senior bug out bag, I guess with wheels.
Valuable information Sir. Thank you so much. 🏆💐
I really like your channel. Practical advise that is very useful for surviving.
Thank you. Mid-Summer we are releasing a new film called "Ultimate Bug in and Home Defense", starring EJ Snyder from Naked and Afraid. Stay tuned!
So how long do MREs exactly last I watched the guy 1986 and he seems the MREs that are about 30 years old the 25 years old or newer and they taste just fine is it a matter of where you store it? And what's the true lifespan?
Great video, I agree it is nice to have options and mission specific gear.
Could you give us the specifics about the battle belt you’re wearing and how it’s set up? Very informative video but the battle belt is what piqued my interest, thanks!
We'd have to ask the film expert, but we believe that's a High Speed Gear, Sure Grip belt, Cobra IDR inner belt, setup.
It's better to be prepared than not to be !
good approach
Medium alice pack.
Those bugging out in Western Europe have a massive advantage over their US counterparts as they don't need to bother with 25kg/50lbs worth of weapons, ammo, body armour etc as there are so few weapons in civilised countries that it will be unlikely that anybody will be shooting at them.
Really? I live in western europe, and there are a lot of licensed hunters in my family. And don't forget the dogs.
I dpn't talk about nice city dogs, but protective dogs on farms.
@@martinaschwemmle7712 Since when have dogs shot at people?
Oh, yeah. The at least five hunting dogs that run free around the house and bite if you try to break in are harmless (irony).
You might get one or two but all of them .... I don't think so.
Then comes my uncle with his hunting rifle, then my cousin .... You get the picture.
Do not try something in rural areas, that like hunting.
@@martinaschwemmle7712 hes saying dogs dont shoot at people so theres less of a need to bring ammo/guns yeah i admit hunters will carry guns but the dogs wont and might be able to be taken out with a melee weapon
Thank you Sir.
Can you show us whats in the bags?
Thank's and greets from Germany

Have a plan to loose you safe place, and a plan to take it back!
Scenario........Im trying to get home and have to abandon my vehicle so I grab my "Get home bag" I discover that the circumstances are such that I can't get home! Now I have to head for the hills because I encounter Chinese troops in the streets and my home is surrounded. Gosh darn I sure wish I had my three day backpacking pack right now!!! Now I encounter someone who wants to shoot me.....Wish I wouldn't have forgot my tactical pack!!!
I carry ONE pack that is changed only for seasonal weather conditions and that is it! It weights around 25lbs and is geared more toward how the Grey Bearded Green Beret does it! I don't want to be left standing there holding my dik in my hand wishing
We agree with that philosophy, which is why we produced the Bug Out film with GB2. Some other experts have different opinions, and some people don't actually have the ability to carry their main pack with supplemental gear when needed. It's never a one size fits all solution in all circumstances, but we prefer the GB2 philosophy above all others.
all packs made in china who would be responsible for EMP. FYI i was first mfg. to use delrin SR1 buckles on bags
some people dont have a bug out location....so thats why some carry more
Most people don't have their own, but you don't need one that you own. Network now with friends and family in more rural areas. A "bug out" location is really just an alternate "bug in" location if you are forced from your primary location.
If you go to your BOL and it's been destroyed, or someone(s) else is already occupying it, then the larger bag with more gear may save your ass. You can't always fight for that location!
