  • The #Aqara Hub M3 is not your average smart home hub. It’s #Matter-enabled, both as a controller, #Thread Border Router, and a bridge-letting it play nicely with other Matter controllers in your home like Apple #HomeKit and Google Home. It’s a pretty nifty device on its own, though, with a basic speaker for alarm sounds, Ethernet connectivity with Power over Ethernet support, and even the ability to learn and control infrared devices.

    Hi James, did you test the new hub's ability to run local automations? I'm trying to create an alarm system using the Aqara sensors that can run even if I lose internet connection or Electricity. Thanks

    I cant figure out how to bridge Smartthings aeotec hub to the aqara m3 hub 🤷🏼‍♂️

      I don't think you can bridge a hub to a hub, unless the SmartThings Hub will be a Matter device unto itself, in which case it should be the same as adding any Matter device to the M3.
