- 🇻🇳 I'm not a man of luxury - most people who watch my videos can see that without too much effort :) I don't care much about fancy things, fancy clothes, and fancy food. But when my buddy Max invited me to try out his $65 4 star luxury hotel breakfast in Hanoi, Vietnam, I couldn't pass it up.

Yes, they have really good chemistry. They need to create a new channel where they explore vietnam together.
In most hotels in VN , the breakfasts are always free for two peoples/room . So , if you are alone , you can invite a guest from outside without paying any extra . Co Rit , you can come every morning there to have free breakfast with Max . Next time try Pho , Hu Tiêu , Bun Riêu , Xoi Xeo or Banh Cuon like the locals
Agree ... free continental breakfast in most hotels around the world for 2 people in a room.

Not true Cường . I registered as single occupier (stupid me) with Windsor hotel (5 * as listed but to me just 3.5 *) on An Duong Duong St Q5 SGN . Same price as a couple . Yet I was charged USD 14 brekkie for my brother in law (who just dropped in to see me) with a cup of coffee only in the BF room !!! just bcz I stayed alone . They đid check my registration from their computer and said he was not covered.
I watched ALL Ads, doesn't matter if they're a very long ads or a short one. I want to help Chris and Max to earn some money so he can continue to make more wonderful videos, like he always does. I feel like if I help Chris, I am also helping Viet Nam. Thank you Chris.

Yes, per Chris opening statement, I saw Chris stayed in "Nha nghi" in previous clips and here Max stays at some * hotel. I hope Chris will be doing well and some day both of them stay at the same hotel. Both are good TH-camr, especially Chris speaks Vietnamese so well.

You two are guests in this wonderful country that I also call my home. If you are like me you appreciate the fairness and welcoming nature of our hosts. You took advantage of a business when so many are struggling to keep their businesses open. Please share with Max that the two of you might be getting too big for your britches. He will understand. You really should try the buffet breakfast at the Metropole- it was my once in a while treat when I lived there and needed a western breakfast hit.
Dude I miss those type of breakfast in Vietnam kind of reminds me of when I was staying in a hotel in the delta in Vietnam.

They have savoury dishes for breakfast (noodle, sushi, congee, pizzas), not only normal stuff e.g yogurt, cereal, sandwiches, jams. When you have a big breakfast, you may not need lunch/ dinner.
One of my most favorite things to do, dine at a complimentary breakfast buffet with my hotel room. Typical , only 1/2 of the items served is good or ok.

Very NICE place. I will stay and eat there when I travel to VN. Thank you guys, for showing this place to us. Very very nice place, so clean. A lot of good stuffs to eat there. OMG and that also serving Sushi. There are also a lot of meat, which fit well for my Keto diet :). Yummy!!!!
We Vietnamese actually have an origin story for watermelon, a couple got cast away to an island found the seed after they see the birds spilt it out, they grow the seed and it's watermelon , they came back to Vietnam with watermelons and the ksinbg forgave them. this is jusst a short version, look up if you want to know more about Vietnamese ancient folklore, we have folklore for basically everything , flowers, fruits, animals (we have a story explaining the stripes on a tiger or where do lizards come from,... ) . If you're gonna learn more about Vietnamese you should read some of these , they're pass down through generations, it gives everything a meaning behind.
you should read into "Son Tinh Thuy Tinh" it explain ancient Viets fighting against nature and explain the Vietnam geography of why it has high mountains and floods. The interesting thing about it is it's a love story , very poetic.
Watermelon original comes from Africa my friends. Folk story maybe true but you know Vietnamese people are very good when it come to tell story. Have you ever heard of the legend of the mosquito? Why mosquito suck blood? If not then Chris doesn't have too read anything my friends. I think he know a lot about Vietnamese culture.❤❤✌✌

Có dịp xuống Miền Tây Việt Nam đi Chris ơi, rất nhiều món ăn ngon. Hủ Tiếu Sa Đéc, Phở Sa Đéc... Du lịch Sông nước Cần Thơ. Nói chung có rất nhiều món ăn ở miền tây ngon lắm, người dân miền nam rất gần gũi, thân thiện, dễ thương, dễ mến nữa. Gái Miền Tây là tuyệt vời luôn

Vietnamese people use condensed milk in the coffee (not fresh milk). My husband loves it after he tried it for the 1st time last year, now he sticks to condensed milk in his coffee

Ex-luxury hotel staff here from London, England 🇬🇧 and Vietnamese-born. Chris can now officially be labelled as a breakfast poacher. Breakfast poaching is common at hotels where they offer free breakfasts in the restaurant. At more expensive five star hotels where they have (or had, pre-Covid) Executive Club lounges, guests who had not paid the higher Executive Floor rate or who were not elite members would often sneak in and poach breakfast. We would often be on the lookout for those sneaking in. Glad you enjoyed the free brekkie, you definitely didn't steal it, you just poached it! 👍

I got caught in SGN for this jbz I registred as single occupier , not as a couple (same price though) . My brother in law dropped in and had a coffee in the BF room with me ... I had to paid full BF price 14USD for that cup of coffee !!!

I like my cereal not overly crunchy but I do love one type of cereal soggy which is Life cereal and any other wheat cereal I like it to be soaked in milk

When in Vietnam eat the local food, you will be back home soon enough and will miss the food. You can eat cereal and bacon and eggs every day at home. Although after months of eating Asian food, a nice hamburger or pizza is always a treat. I have to agree with the Pho and Banh Mi for breakfast comment.

Chris, next time you should take off your jacket. To get free breakfast like this, you should let people think that you were Max roommate. While Max only wearing a t-shirt (very natural because he hasn’t left the hotel yet), you had a jacket on. Being as observant as I am (🕵️♂️), I would say you were not staying at the hotel to get that free breakfast 😂😂🤪🤪. I used to travel for work years ago, used to be Platinum status at Sheraton in North America, always got free breakfast at Sheraton and I did the same as Max ... My friend came, left the jacket in my room and we walked together to the concierge floor to get free breakfast ... Breakfasts at 5 ⭐️ Sheraton hotels are sooo good!! 🤤🤤🤣🤣
