Thank you, this is awesome! I have an antique couch that I'm wanting to reupholster for my daughter's apartment. I found amazing velvet fabric for it. But after pricing out the cost to have someone else upholster it I didn't think we could do it. You've given me the inspiration and bravery to start this project. Thank you so much, this was very informative and helpful!
Woman recovers couch- nice accomplishment. Mother grows entire human in her body- incredible accomplishment that should be recognized more in the world. Best of luck to you and your family, thanks for the video!
Looks amazing , wow. Would you able to list the items and tools used for the project like 1) what kind of a upholstery gun ,it's cost and bought from where? 2) what kind of staples goes in that gun? 3) What do you call those string of round pins you used on the edges? 4) how much meters of fabric you ordered and from where? . Thanks
Thank you. I order the upholstery stable gun from amazon, they have all different kinds. Different prices .You can choose the one you like. And for the size of stables, the gun you chose will tell you the size range for stables. I ordered the stables and the stable gun as a pack. Those pins are called decorative nail trimming for couch. You can also find online. I ordered the fabric several years ago for other projects. I just used some for this couch. I ordered the fabric online, but i can't remember the website site. I think the price for the fabric might be more expensive now. Hope these answers will help you. Have a good day!
Thank you for your appreciation. I bought the roll of that fabric online several years ago. I forgot the name of the website. It's around $200 for the fabric.
Well first of all this is not an actual antique sofa. It was made in the 1990's, Indonesian reproduction. The giveaway is the construction, the lack of proper webbing and the use of foam. An original would have used horsehair and cotton batting and had real springs..
I am a retired antique restorer and have worked on some beautiful period pieces all hand work with traditional materials.when I see what passes for restoration now Im saddened. Its truely a throwaway world today.
Nice. It didnt take a lot of fabric to make it. I didnt remember how much exactly, because i ordered a whole roll of this fabric to do several projects. Sorry not able to tell you exactly how much fabric I used.

Great job. Great piece. Great tutorial. Where do you find the bulk fabric? Upholstery fabric by the yard costs a fortune.

Would like to buy that chair being upholstered
The couch turned out beautiful, but not near as beautiful as your little baby! ❤
Thank you!!!

Who cares? Still a quite helpful video, and about the process, not the piece.

What type of couch is this?
Thanks for your question. Honestly I don't know its type. I just know it's an old couch.
chaise lounge
Chaise longue to be pedantic. Literally long chair.
