Folkstyle is closer to catch which this all came from. Control/ground wrestling shows/takes a little more grit. Folkstyle competitors do better than freestyle purist in MMA. I know freestyle appeals more but folkstyle is closer to the heart of the origins. Add some pushout points and change the points up a bit, but folkstyle needs to stay. Just a opinion but our folkstyle/freestyle hybrid folks do fine once they go pure freestyle.
