Not to be a Debbie-downer but at some point you have to wonder if this is collecting or borderline hoarding. I mean some stuff is in cabinets and just sitting there. What’s the point. Not to mention, when you die what are you gonna do with all that stuff? I guess if you have the money to waste on such old items with other peoples bacteria and spit on it; to each their own.

PLEASE make that foundation/museum idea come to fruition- this is truly amazing! THIS is what I think of when folks say “makeup collection”…not the hoarder zones influencers show off 🥴😒🤫lol The fact that you don’t just collect but you research as well and are so knowledgeable about the history of the beauty industry makes it that much better 💕 I love seeing the passion. My obsession started with a beautiful vanity from 1943. I then had to decorate it accordingly! Everything was so incredibly beautiful and feminine. This video entranced me! I can't wait to see and hear more from you!

I have always had an obsession for tiny compacts and to-go sets.
Everything about you is just FABULOUS, LOL I live in Japan and I sometimes see gorgeous vintage Japanese makeup when I buy vintage Japanese girls day dolls online. If I find something really special I'll get it and somehow get it to you as a present as you as you really are so devoted to your passion!!
I was in fashion previously and many years ago I purchased a 50's day shift dress owned by Marlene Dietrich but am only into dolls now, LoL

Every single item has a meaning in that room; even down to the paint on the wall.
It’s kinda fun to think that in 100 years our makeup that we use today will be called vintage and someone will be collecting it. Hopefully they will be as excited and passionate as you are :)
I disagree, because these things Erin has are worthy of being collected, they're innovative, made from materials that aren't cheap, they're beautiful, intricately made peices of art. Today's makeup is of the cheapest materials, plastic or thick cardboard, mass produced so there is no rarity of them, they aren't beautiful or unique etc. I just can't see them ever being coveted as art.
I love all the things in the collection that are clever cases for what are probably pretty regular makeup! The design of the compact or case or set is so much part of the charm and the marketing and the desirability and the glamour.

OMG, I love everything about this! Packaging is lacking in a lot of products nowadays, brings me joy when anything makeup or perfume related is playfully packaged and presented instead of being clinical and sterile.
I wanted to compliment you on your magnificent collection of period items. I am a collector of objects (my favorite period goes from 1820 to 1950), and seeing some small masterpieces still alive struck me. In my collection I have a couple of identical items. i looked at them in the showcase and they made me a little sad... It seemed that they were telling me they wanted to go back to work, full of their face powders and ointments...This is to tell you that your collection truly deserves a historical documentary (and from what I have seen there are individual objects that would deserve at least 30 minutes each since they are steeped in history, design, passion ..). thank you for sharing certain "beauties" ♥️😍🐾. This is a combination of two of my favorite subjects - history and things for women. My great-grandmother would've been one of "those painted ladies" but that's because it was the only job she could really hold down while raising two children.
Your look is amazing! It reminds me of the Jibaro episose woman (which for me represents nature itself), from "Love, Death and Robots". So perfect.

Same shit different name . i remember in the 80s my mom had a lot of Avon stuff she used to sell for them. They made tiny sample lipsticks . I had like 100 of them back then. Love 💕! I just ordered myself a vintage loose powder compact to keep in my purse. I love you using Coty's airspun translucent powder. So I ordered me a gorgeous 1960s vintage compact so I can carry it in my purse. And I have my mom's 1972 Merle Norman glass loose powder container. When I was a little girl she always had it either in our bathroom or on her dresser. And now it's on my makeup table and I still use it and I love it.

I have Amy's bronzer, in a Ziploc bag, broken like the rest of us.
I love that she cherishs things for the people and not the actual perfection of the product. I still have ny Mom's hospital bracelets, and other things that most people would consider trash. But, it was a part of HER and that's why it's NOT trash .

Fascinating video. You just unlocked a memory for me with the Avon makeup - as a kid in the 70’s I had an Avon compact that was a big pair of red plastic lips, inside there was 2 lipglosses. The formula was really sticky 😂

I remember in the 1950’s Max Factor short tv commercials. My sister mailed off for one of the make up kids with stencils for lips and eyebrows.

Collecting vintage products that are made from fur or leather shouldn’t be chastised! You are honouring the animal by respecting that it died (before you were but a speck in the universe) and treasuring it like this. This is an ode to eras past, it is so beautifully displayed with such care. This is important to see, it is gorgeous.

Regarding tiny lipsticks: I remember, long ago, makeup companies made tiny-lipsticks; they'd give them out as samples. I especially recall Avon having those lipstick samples.
