1951 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck with rear-cooled 6 Liter LQ4 LS Engine that's mated to a brand new 4L60e transmission. See more of this build: rdkll.co/LQ43100 #lsswap #chevy
@@RoadkillCustoms no the lq4 is the 5.7 litre engine found in the Obs sheet truck the lq9 is the 6.0 litre Chevy found in the cateye Chevy truck and it had a cast iron block so technically it’s not a ls. The ls2 was the 6liter with aluminum block
I have a LQ9 apart in my garage right now.. needs some love due to a spun cam bearing
Wow that engine looks like it fits quite nicely ! 👍
It does!
You guys must've used a sound clip from my Apache for this.
We wondered how long it would take you to notice!
Is there more videos of this truck. I’m doing the exact same swap to a 51 c3100 and some tips and tricks would be nice.
There is not a lot, but there is this: m.roadkillcustoms.com/ls-motor-swap-1951-chevrolet-3100-with-rear-cooled-6-0-liter-lq4-ls-motor/
👍🏼
You have to figure something else minus enjine how to stop it .
Sounds good
Needs a cam?
It got one not long after this was shot!
@@RoadkillCustoms Very nice!!!
Is it a 6liter lq9 or a 5.7liter lq4 the title is misleading
The LQ4 is a 6.0L LS engine...

That is slick. Do I hear a turbo?
No turbo on this one, you likely heard the electric fan in the rear...
