Sure that's true but I did go and look into it. It seems to have some merit however they are optional ceremonies you can choose to attend. Not the best thing, I personally believe everyone should learn to live together. But it's not exactly segregation. IDK where the colleges funding for these extra ceremonies is coming from. But they are private businesses and can choose to do as they please I guess. If people don't like this they should take it up with their school if they don't care it is what it is and it will continue to happen.

Why do so many Americans feel that "Freedom of Religion" means free to only be Christian?!!? That's really the only thing I can comment on and not make this a 20 paragraph essay!
Exactly, the US _has_ freedom of religion. If you want to be a Mormon, or a Muslim, or a Buddhist, you can be. Everyone is happy with that, except for some Christians, who seem to think freedom of religion means everybody should be Christian. I don't understand how you can argue that taking away somebody's freedom is increasing freedom.
Then again, half of the UK voted to have their freedom of travel restricted in a major way and believe they now have more freedom, so I suppose it's some strange neurological disease.
Because Christianity, at it's core, is incompatible with any other religion. If you're a Christian who lives next to someone who isn't, and you're not demanding that they join every time you see them, you're a bad Christian. It's not just Christianity though, all proselytising religions are the same way, but Christianity is the biggest and baddest here in the west.

@@Rock-gr8me It was a time of hope and change - America was on the cusp of signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - proposed by JFK in 1963 who called civil rights a moral issue. Americans are meant to look to the future and hope and strive for progress, innovation and change - not stagnate in some fictional yesteryear that never really existed. The founders knew this, which is why they created amendments. We're not supposed to cling to tradition, nor fear the future. Thus the answer to the question "when was America great" is always right now.

America was great when kids weren’t getting shot in classrooms, when both sides could come together and pass legislation, when politicians had a sense of shame, when everybody thought they could make a nice life for their families, when employers valued their workers . I.e Jim Crow laws, child labor, mass exploitation within the economy and mass incarceration directed toward all non-white residents, not to mention u know….
