The Kalgidhar Society's Akal Academy at Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, India has produced a unique Gurbani interactive TV program -- "SEHAJ PATH" (way of life) to honor and celebrate the Tri-centerary of the installation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, "Gurta Gaddi Diwas"
"The whole Sikh world is celebrating the Tri-centenary 'Gur-ta-Gaddi Diwas' of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in 2008 with various awareness programs by one and all", said Baba Iqbal Singh, President of The Kalgidhar Society.
As part of its ongoing spiritual education effort and to celebrate this forthcoming momentous event, The Kalgidhar Society started a unique TV program featuring Akal Academy Students each day slowly reciting 4 to 5 Ang of the 1430 Ang Sri Guru Granth Sahib from beginning to end, a "Sehaj Path.
These broadcasts ensured a maximum number of seekers of truth to also recite the Gurbani and play a key role in establishing permanent peace in the world.
"Since all of us have an important role to play in the development and furtherance of a peaceful society, we request your good self to partake in this Sehaj Path and make it part of your daily routine during this Tri-centenary year so that one and all can contribute to furthering the message of universal brotherhood as preached in Sri Guru Granth Sahib", said Baba Iqbal Singh.
The Kalgidhar Society, headquartered in Baru Sahib, has as its main mission delivering a values-based 10+2 English medium education through 129 Schools to Northern India's rural poor children. Its educational program which creates good human capital, is presently providing modern education blended with moral education to 60,000 rural children through its 129 Akal Academy CBSE Senior Secondary Schools and plans to increase total enrollment to 250,000 rural children over the next decade by establishing an additional 350 Primary English medium Schools in rural North India...!
