ok I did this but inside a tractor innertube and rolled down a sand dune into Lake Nippissing at a beach in North Bay, Ontario, 1987!! I was on tour with a rock band and during my 3rd or 4th time down, the tube leaned and headed into a playgorund where I hit a bike rack, flew out of the tube and injured my ankle (thanks God for not having it be my neck!). Anyway, the nice lifeguard picked me up in her Honda Civic and took me to the hospital. Crutches and then a cane for several weeks of healing (band was not totally impressed with the outcome!)
Doug McColl did this in 1987 down a big sand dune at beach at North Bay Ontario and ended up in Hospital after going off course, through a playground and hitting a bicycle rack. I felt like a Butthead though...a lucky one...I could have died
