“Off duty Private Fraser” easily one of your best lines Jeffrey, a great delivery. As always thanks for these comparisons, TinTin is another of my childhood favourites
Oooh I haven't seen one of these in a while! This is great! About some of the choices made with vehicles in the TV Show. I think they were trying to stick with a consistent Late 40s-Early 50s aesthetic, unlike the comics which were very obviously in the 70s by their end. Another example of this is the Qantas 707s, Garuda DC-8s and the Santaero 747 jet planes in Flight 714 and Picaros being replaced by older Martin 404 and DC-6 aircraft in the TV show. It makes the supersonic C-160 in 714 stand out even more in the TV show.
Sweet "The Black Island" Is one of my favorite Tintin books along with Crab With The Golden Claw, including the best animated episode of The Adventures Of Tintin Series. Fun Fact that Peter Jackson consider The Black Island as his favorite Tintin book while join with Steven Spielberg to make the film.
It’s weird that Dr Müller of all characters became a recurring villain, to the point where the cartoon altered Red Sea Sharks to make him part of the story
@@felixleidig8307 they never actually bring up if he’s Mull Pasha in the book, Mull Pasha has a very very clear resemblance to him in the book but they just treat him like a new character whilst in the cartoon they go out of their way to say “yeah that’s Dr Müller, he’s using an alias”
@@mrcritical6751 ah ok ...well i always thought he is Mueller it makes more sense if you know about the Red Sea Sharks and the Big Ambition of Herge to combine a lot of tintins foes and enemys in one big book

What are your thoughts on the remasters? Personally I think cropping the footage to 4:3 to 16:9 and lowering the pitch was pointless.

My local library has a copy of the original drawn version… it caught me quite off guard
I think the fight in Dr Müllers burning mansion is one of the most awesome Tintin moments.

Always liked Ranko. Felt sorry when he broke his arm.
Great video. I explored the episode as part of my Tintin podcast and found it one of the most interesting, due to the differences between editions.
Your videos are so entertaining for me
