Outstanding job! I would have liked to seen more detail and not had the fade to next angle been so quick. Thank you for sharing. One of the nicest Revell kit builds of this ship that I have seen!

Built it 20 years ago while recovering from Back surgery! Not as impressive as this one but still beautiful!

Las "alas" y "rastreras" están mal colocadas, esas velas van extendidas hacia afuera y primero se extendían los botalones, antes de largar las velas, así que en esa posición nunca iban. En la imagen de tapa están en la posición correcta!

Thank you. This is a white painted wire.
Several suggestions. You put a lot of good work into this model. I'd have replaced the plastic sails with very fine silk or linen cloth. Then, I'd have removed the preformed deadeyes and installed wood ones, with proper lines. And, not used the plastic ratlines. One final note. The lashings on the yardarms should be black, not white.

Sergej Babenko Hi. Redoing the deadeyes will be a very challenging job. Very challenging, indeed. I guarantee that she will look much, much better. Putting real shrouds with ratlines will be another challenge, but again she will look much better. Since you are going to restore the model, you should take off all the running rigging as well, or making the ratlines will be quite difficult. am finishing a big wood Constitution and put cloth sails, and they look good. For the edges of the sails, don't try to fold and hem them with sewing. Use a laundry iron to iron on a special thin transparent tape on the edge of the sail without folding the edge of the sail. Any fabric store will know about this product. You cut the sail cloth without the cloth unraveling, if you are gentle and careful. You can use very light pencil markings for the seams. The results are very good. Good luck!
Yes, I will change all the rigging. Replacing the sails is not a problem. I have good experience with material. But ... I wouldn't want to touch them because I really like their texture. Hi, i Just bought that model and im going to make it but I dont kbow how wide is it, i know that length is almost 100cm and height is almost 6o but I dont know how wide it is, can you measure it for me?
The widest point is the bottom yard on the mast. Depending on the build. I got 21.3 cm. Rhea consists of three parts.

Nice! I built this model when I was 15. It stayed in tact and survived a major earthquake. Unfortunately, I came home one day to see that our cats had destroyed it and made a toy out of it. I bought another one to build, and one day I will get to it. One question...why is the running rigging white? Or is it just the video?

Nice she’s beautiful. I just got my kit yesterday learning all I can. Just found out about EZ line and a few other things. Any tips would be highly appropriated. Did you use the line from the kit or is that something else?
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I used EZ, wire, threads from a set. Some twisted with a drill and painted. There may be problems with the case. Use epoxy glue and bandage. Revel will not do! He will burst.

Sergej Babenko I have a question. Is there any way to sand down the bottom of the ships heel without damaging the detail? Or should I just go for it and level it. I’m trying to smooth out the edges and it seems impossible to hide without affecting the bottom

If you are talking about connecting parts, then yes, you have to grind a lot on one side and on the other you have to put putty on it, close up the gap. Those plastic sails are an abomination! Get rid of them! Use real deadeyes for the shrouds! Re-rig her.
