Thank you! Not only is this going to save money (my heating element was indeed bad), but this was a great experience that I got to share with my 5 year old son. He loved watching this video, running back to the dryer, and taking screws out (with a little help). This video enabled me to the dryer apart "just enough" to get to the heating element and enclosure.
Thank you for the great video. My Samsung dryer was not heating so I used your video to remove the heating element housiing. I tested each piece and the Thermal Limit Fuse did not have continuity so I ordered a new one but the dryer still will not produce heat. Is there a thermal fuse on the dryer somewhere else?
Thank you for the videos. They are great. The thermal limit on my machine was melted. Before replacing, I'm thinking I need to figure out what would cause this. Airflow is good. No lint buildup, etc. the dryer was running but not heating, and it would turn off after a few minutes. The element and thermostat are showing good continuity.
I replaced heating element and thermal limit and the reset switch still no heat going to reopen to see if I left something off and idea what to look for
my Brada BED70B dryer has at the end of the cycle instead of the code - just running on circle dots, not stopping by itself, but stops heating. what it that could be? how could be fixed? thanks a lot.
19hundred Block no just tug and wiggle!! While doing this repair make sure to clean all lint from inside and every where in exhaust!! Thermal fuses blow because heated air is not being sucked out as it should! And to prevent it stop using dryer sheets/dryer bars!! Only use liquid softness in wash cycle!!
Hey Great video, But after troubleshooting the thermal limit switch, (tested bad) I replaced it and the heat element works but shuts off after about five minutes and the display reads END. What could this be???
Mine didn't come with the part the screws attach the unit to the housing... just thermo limit itself. I don't have pop rivets to change it out. So annoying.
Yes they both can be tested with a multi meter. Enter model number here for more info on part testing: www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/Dryer-Repair-Help
I love how this video shows the housing easily removed and leaves out the part where you struggle to take off screws you can’t even see! So effing frustrated.
Mara Daly i have the same dryer their is no beed to take it all apart like that so on the bottom right take the cover off the heating element and it pulls forward replace whats bad and slide it back in put the cover back on other than that its only the top and face that has to come off
Here in 2023 for model Samsung DV42H5200EW/A3 I am also finding the element housing can not be pulled out without removing the hidden screws that hold the housing bracket and mounting bracket together.
People! First simple thing that you can do is to stop using dryer sheets and dryer bars!!!! As they coat the dryer/exhaust and lint screen with sticky layer cussing build up and not allowing exhaust/circulation of heated air, wich in turn will cause heating element to over heat and thermal fuse to blow!!!! Only use liquid softener in the washing cycle!

I DID IT! I FIXED THE DRYER!!! I did it all by myself, and I am NOT a handy guy. This video was perfect.

Lisa Cosper We're glad you were able to successfully troubleshoot and repair. Congrats! Thanks for the kind words about the videos!

Is there a way to know if its the thermal fuse or the heating element?

that hidden screw on the back of the part holding up the heating element is a real pain to reach lol

My dryer keeps burning the element why?? Please help
your dryer is possessed. call a priest.
You can replace this part without removing anything but the small access panel on the back where the vent is... Way overkill in my opinion...
