6:38 - the guy providing the deepest part of that bass is Bobby Bass. He did a collab with Melinda called Hoist The Colours.... definitely worth a look. The guy has an amazing tone.
The sea shanty trend and the Ratatouille musical people created together were possibly the best things to come out of all those months of isolation. The chance to be part of something big and fun was an absolute delight at a time when it felt like delight was only for the Before Times.
I love how positive your videos are. I love that you're not roasting or "destroying" anyone, but instead point out the things you like and explain why. Your videos give me a boost of good energy every time :)
The Ring of Fire cover by Home Free ft. Avi The 3 main people I've heard with really low bass vocals are Avi (formerly of Pentatonix), Geoff (Voiceplay - the last I heard was he is more comfortable in the baritone range), and Tim (Home Free). I haven't seen any A Capella videos in almost two years, so there a probably many more that I do not know of. Please feel free to let me know of more bass vocalists because I am amazed by people who can sing that low.
If you would like a little bass may I recommend Geoff Castellucci's rendition of 'Misty Mountains Cold'. Honey poured over thunder would be an apt description.
It's always nice to find someone else who appreciates a good bass! The world is all "woohoo! Tenors!" And I'm over here by myself, all about those low notes. I just couldn't bring myself to say "all about that bass." 😂🙊
I was having a very bad morning and this video came up as a rewatch suggestion. I am here to tell you that it made me feel better instantly! I love the shanty, but I mostly love your reaction to them, the way you light up when something surprising happens makes me smile every time. Thank you for making such positive videos.
The Longest Johns recorded 'Wellerman' in 2018 (incredible Sea Shanty band from Bristol). Although they didn't make it popular, I think they deserve some love too
If yòu love hearing good basses then you really really have to listen to the voiceplay version of "oogi boogi man" from the "nightmare before Christmas" I don't think you'll will ever heard such a low bass bevor it's absolutely insane!!!!
Loved your intro! Charismatic! Adorable! Don’t ever change. Anyway, I was partial to the sound of all men, particularly the one where you commented on the bass. Yes, the bass is the foundation on which all the voices are supported. It has an ethereal, captivating, powerful, masculine sound like that of an all male Russian acapella choir. Damn! Thank you for introducing us to different genres. It is always a pleasure to listen to you and watch you react.
Have you ever seen the Marsh Family sing? They did “We’re not singing sea shanties”. But my favorite of the songs they do is a version of “One day more” set in the beginning of COVID. The family is from England and so adorable! The dad writes the words to the songs and all the family members have decent voices.
It's interesting to think about the history of sea-shanties and men's vocal harmony, like the Welsh and English miners and public-house singers, centuries of monastic chanters, and so-forth... Nothing feels so natural as finding a group of friends or coworkers with whom you can break-out into song to pass the time.
I agree with some other commenters, the Ratatouille Musical collaborative on tiktok is one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever gone down a rabbit hole about. Many good songwriters and singers made some amazing stuff; it’s gotta be compiled on youtube somewhere. 💋
You need to check out Home Free and their sea shanty medley! The sound is going viral on a TikTok dance now. But also, you need to check out more of them. If you like Pentatonix, you definitely like these guys. And their bass…
You should do a react video of the Trills by themselves!!!!! Their harmonies are insane and when each person gets their chance to shine they shine so brightly!!!! I think you'll really enjoy their songs and voices a lot
It's a shame none of the videos you reviewed had Luke "the Voice" in it. He's the younger fella in a Yeti cap with a deeeep bass voice. Has excellent contributions to Wellerman arrangements.
If you love bass, listen to Tim Foust in Man of Sorrow, Home Free. And, also, Scooter in the stairwell. (youtube among others) He is a seriously low bass as well, and you wouldn't believe it if you hear him talking at first. you'd think he'd not have that in him, but it's easy basement to the bass.
Captain Tractor did a cover of Drunken Sailor on the Due South soundtrack that is so awesome it made me purchase the album. My Canadian was showing throughout that entire sentence.
Not for nuthin', but it takes 5 people to make Pentatonix (with whom you seem to be obsessed) sound almost as good as Jared Halley sounds all by his lonesome. His range and harmonies are amazing, and if you're impressed by the work put into a video you'll be blown away by what Jared does. Check out his TH-cam channel to hear his version of sea shanties and tons of other stuff. Also, if you really like Irish harmonies I highly recommend the classic Clancy Brothers with Tommy Makem.
I sub for the semen, I mean Seaman, content. ♥ -- ps. If you like Matt from Pentatonix, you should have heard their previous bass Avi Kaplan... he's ungodly. D:
Hi Marc, I maybe have some musicians you could react to; Wilbur Soot Lovejoy (Wilbur Soot’s band) Thomas Sanders Thomas especially has a really great voice like Hamilton musical. Really worth a watch
Something new and up to date! You should react to the "Man Who Can't Forget" an original song from episode 3 of the new Wheel of Time show on Amazon. The performance and singing is really good!
If you like bass heavy stuff, check out Ladysmith Black Mambazo, if you haven't already. I'm not going to get the numbers exactly right but it's like 12 basses and 3 tenors? Something like that.
Hi. I'm new to your videos but really enjoying them. If you like low vocals you should consider reacting to Misty Mountain (the one from The Hobbit) covers on tik tok. They're pretty amazing
Aww thank you for the kindness 🥰
6:38 - the guy providing the deepest part of that bass is Bobby Bass. He did a collab with Melinda called Hoist The Colours.... definitely worth a look. The guy has an amazing tone.
Plus Luke Taylor is a bass he’s the one at furtherest in the red shirt.. Luke is only 20 he auditioned for American Idol
@@patriciahetherington3380 they need to go to AGT.
Nathan is from my home town. We’re very proud of him!
I need a whole video of you listening to Malinda! I’ve been watching her for almost 5 years now!
Yes!
Not only CAN she sing the phone book... Her Google Translates videos are beautiful and hilarious.
Absolutely same
Yes yes yes
Coming soon, dont you worry.
The sea shanty trend and the Ratatouille musical people created together were possibly the best things to come out of all those months of isolation. The chance to be part of something big and fun was an absolute delight at a time when it felt like delight was only for the Before Times.

I mean I choose what gets featured in these videos, would be such a shit move to include a video that I KNOW im just going to tear down for 2 minutes.
@@MarcDanielPatrick true, but it would probably also get many views. So I'm happy it's not this kind of a channel :D
You truly need to listen to Home Free’s version of Sea Shanty’s (a cappella group)
oh that's the best one!
I came to the comments to say this!
“She really wanted to be on TikTok while she’s in witness protection” 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie... I laughed WAY too hard at the Seamen bit 🤣
My lame attempt at humour. 😬
Marc’s got a potty mouth and I am here for it 😂🤣
Me too Lmaoo.
Same
It was the only fans logo during that bit that made me crack

I'm in love with his version of Sixteen Tons 😍
Yes!! Geoff to me has the best Bass voice ever!! And not to mention his inhuman range!!
Everyone dueting and adding their harmonies was great, but adding the bass is just *chefs kiss*
I'm always down for some more sea shanties. You're right, it's amazing how many "ordinary" people are extraordinarily talented.
Malinda and theBobbybass have done a version of the one you heard with Malinda here - he has that amazing bass voice - oh and she’s on Spotify ;)
It's always nice to find someone else who appreciates a good bass! The world is all "woohoo! Tenors!" And I'm over here by myself, all about those low notes. I just couldn't bring myself to say "all about that bass." 😂🙊
Bobby Waters and Melinda duet often on TikTok and it’s legendary
That opening was priceless. Your commitment to a bit borders on frightening.
Yes please do a full video on Malinda!
You should see Malindas Drunken Sailor with other colaborators it's just fantastic.
if you havent heard home free's version of this.....tim foust will blow your bass mind
The second one was my favourite. I loved what she did with her voice. Beautiful. Love that Celtic sound
I was having a very bad morning and this video came up as a rewatch suggestion. I am here to tell you that it made me feel better instantly! Home Free does an amazing cover of Sea Shanty.

Geoff from voice play has amazing range, if you haven't heard him you need to. One of their covers that showcases his range is oogie boogie
Loved your intro! Charismatic! Adorable! Don’t ever change.

Always look forward to finding your comments Roberto!
You should check The Longest Johns they've been performing shanties a long time already.

It’s a happy tune. It’s light hearted and makes you feel good.

I love your face when the bass kicks in at 5:27! (And I can only agree.)
Omg, talking about bases- have you ever heard Home Free and Tim??? You must!!
7:35 is an acapella group called The Trills (they have a full version of Wellerman on youtube as well as other songs)
I agree with some other commenters, the Ratatouille Musical collaborative on tiktok is one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever gone down a rabbit hole about. Many good songwriters and singers made some amazing stuff; it’s gotta be compiled on youtube somewhere. 💋

I was also hoping he would review Luke. His voice is like no other Truly.
I saw Luke in this video. I felt Luke’s voice.
The witness protection program comment made me choke on my cookie
Hope you're okay
@@MarcDanielPatrick yes thank you. 😊
absolutely love malinda
Brilliant and different video! Love the humour too.

you mentioned Matt from pentatonix and I couldn’t help thinking HAVE YOU NOT HEARD AVI KAPLIN THE ORIGINAL BASS FROM PENTATONIX?!?!?!!
Captain Tractor did a cover of Drunken Sailor on the Due South soundtrack that is so awesome it made me purchase the album. My Canadian was showing throughout that entire sentence.
Oh man! You are my people.
This was so good !!
Now that was enjoyable and fun.
This was soooo awesome
Maybe consider the group Home free? They do this song and multitudes of others and the bass(omg).
First, great dude! Love the content! Second, I love Malinda and he also does so 5 gold stars!!!
you might love colm mcguiness too, and home free....... amazing bass and baritone and well everything boom, pure joy.
M.D.P. : seemingly late to trends
Me: laughs in only using Facebook and TH-cam
You’re AMAZING and have such a gorgeous spirit! All else is superfluous - much love from SoCal
This was awesome
Love the video! Many comments have already good bass singers, but also please check out Club for Five and the bass Tuukka! He's just soooo deep!

You need an reaction to Faouzia too.
Seamen... yeah, I have no comeback for that one. That sold me.
“Sailors”, my man. They’re called “sailors” 😂😂. Good episode, this one!
Witness protection program 😅😂🤣😅😂🤣
I’m watching these videos because you have the sweetest smil😂
☺️
Guys with low bass voices make my nether regions tingle too
Hooray MDP!
The Intro...🤣🤣🤣
anyone else get the hell shivers when those guyz with the bass sung
Your a bass lover? Check out Geoff Castellucci. He is a brilliant bass singer with a high rage who dose solo covers
If you like good vocal bass singer you must listen to Voiceplay with Geoff Castellucci..for example " Hoist the colours" or " Oogie Boogie song".
Dude. Malinda's Collab on Hoist the Colors. Check it out! Amazing!
I sub for the semen, I mean Seaman, content. ♥ -- ps. If you like Matt from Pentatonix, you should have heard their previous bass Avi Kaplan... he's ungodly. D:
The guys with the DEEPEST voice is Luke Taylor!! He's soooo good!!
listen the one with her and Bobby Waters. Im in love with his voice those 2 are amazing!!
Matt??? Has everyone already forgotten about Avi? Best bass of all time.
If you want to hear low bass, try voiceplay or home free.
If you like bass, you should react to Geoff Castellucci.
My favorite shanty is “Last Saskatchewan Pirate”. Originally by The Arrogant Worms, but I’m captive to the Captain Tractor cover.
OMG I havent heard that groups name in SO long! I've seen them many times LIVE and absolutely love them. 🇨🇦
Please look up and consider reviewing Luke Taylor. His natural Bass Deep voice is amazing.
If you like a sea shanty you should check out the Fishermen’s Friends from Cornwall in the UK. Maybe skip the film roughly based on them though 😂
while i have watched a few of your vids the seamen got my sub lmao
This is so much fun!
🙏
Glad you finally figured out "sailors," lol.
bahah
Base + theatrical qualities… have you ever Bern suggested the Acapella group Voice Play? Lot of nice videos.
This is my favorite music trend! Tried to find some Swedish sea shanties but I couldn't find any.
Hi Marc,
I maybe have some musicians you could react to;
Wilbur Soot
Lovejoy (Wilbur Soot’s band)
Thomas Sanders
Thomas especially has a really great voice like Hamilton musical.
Really worth a watch
Malinda and Bobby Waters Drunken Sailor full track is amazing!
Not OnlyFans, chile 😂
I found Nathan Evans from Lucas Arnold's Tiktok with it. And he's not known on Tiktok for singing!
DAMN! That's a beast of a B A S S
Wow, that bass. ☠️
Have you ever reviewed Straight No Chaser?
Have you reacted to anything by Voctave? Would love to see a video on them, particularly on their "A Million Dreams" collab.
I really think you should take a listen to Home Free... the bass is something else
If you like bass singers check out Home Free.
5:26 hits different
The longest John's has done wellerman they are really good. They had it out in 2018 I believe
Would love to see you comment on Ringmasters Notre Damn Medley, and Voice Plays Oogie Boogie Song.
Why does he look like the combination of a science teacher and a history teacher
heh thanks?

Right?!
those times just may be few and far between... lol
The Trills have amazing sing group The Trills 7:32 is awesome
Hi. I'm new to your videos but really enjoying them. If you like low vocals you should consider reacting to Misty Mountain (the one from The Hobbit) covers on tik tok. They're pretty amazing
