We were told it does not have Ethernet?

It may depend on the market and of course subject to change but here in MN they’ve been including Ethernet along with wireless access points

They can help you. After one year you need to go to the collage to become programer so you can fix it your self.

They’ve selected rather user friendly products and they all work as “dumb devices” when they’re not connected. The initial setup takes a couple hours but they provide plenty of resources to walk the homeowner through everything.
