I love who they chose to say each line. It reflects the characters well. Santana: “In truths that she learned.” Finn helped her come to terms with the fact that she was a lesbian. Even if he did out her, she doesn’t seem to see it that way in this moment and is probably thankful for what Finn did. Kurt: “Or in times that he cried.” As brothers Kurt and Finn went through a lot together. That includes many tears. Even though Finn has made Kurt cry he was also most likely a shoulder for him to cry on as was Kurt for Finn. Puck: “In bridges he burned.” In season one when it was revealed that Quinn’s baby was Puck’s and not Finn’s their friendship seemed like it was ruined. But Finn forgave Puck and like that their bridge was rebuilt. Tina: “Or the way that she died.” I feel like her line describes how we feel. It’s always tough to lose someone that your a fan of. But the fact that it was a OD somehow makes it even worse. Cory struggled with drugs for most of his life. Cory wasn’t able to beat his demons.
he absolutely did not help her come to terms with it lmao. he forced her out of the closet and then blackmailed even further out. she was dating brittany when he outed her. she just wasnt ready. stop this bs

It’s really fitting that Mark sang “in bridges he burned” after what happened. Combined with the rest of the song it sends an important message about his death
Not just that. Santana and Kurt’s lines are also fitting for their relationships with Finn. Santana’s “in truths that she learned” was about coming to terms with being lesbian, even though Finn pushed it forcefully. Kurt’s “in times that he cried” is since Finn was there for him while he was being bullied severely.
You could tell that Amber Riley was struggling at the end because y’all know Amber could have taken that note to the heavens… this was the most authentic episode of the series. It was like eavesdropping on folks’ real grief… 😔
Rip Finn (Cory) & puck (mark) even if he did something bad he’s still a person and I know he regretted what he did. He regretted it so much he took his own life. Rip both
Why the sympathy for the man who downloaded child porn and not the children that were exploited for those images? Because he was famous? It’s amazing to see how people justify something because you were on a tv show
You can just see how broken and lost they look. I can't even believe to fathom that it'll be six years this year. It breaks my heart so much. Miss you Cory :(
It punches so hard emotionally when someone is gone because all of the bad blood there was between you and someone you cared about just disappears. There was so much drama in the show, because teenage school life is like that- chaotic, miscommunicating, high intensity hormone driven emotions, poor decisions, regretful consequences. Everyone had bad moments with Finn at some point. But when he's no longer there, everyone can put everything to rest because they have a new reality to deal with- he's gone and never coming back to fight with or have more drama with. No more good or bad times and it reminds every character, every actor, every viewer just how quickly and unexpectedly anyone can be gone and all the baggage just doesn't matter anymore. The best thing they displayed in the song is how people come together in times of grief to support each other. But the most accurate thing they showed is how isolated you can feel after losing someone important and it is important for everyone to reach out to each other and build back up.
As soon as I saw this in the series this beginning scene warmed my heart so hard I was in the mood. As soon as they showed Finn’s picture up on the screen I raised my hand up in praise to show my strongest condolences to the cast of “Glee”. Rest In Peace Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson
This is one of the first episodes of Glee I watched. When Kurt was narrating he indicated about Finn being his brother. I was like WHAT? I asked my friend (who got me into Glee) about that and she's the one that told me they were step-brothers - that Finn's mom married Kurt's dad. I was like woa!. That episode got me right in the heart... big time especially knowing that they were not only grieving Finn, but Cory as well. The emotion was so raw for the entire cast.
I recently started watching Glee and I watched this scene and was wondering who died then it showed Finn and I was shocked. I was ugly crying through the whole episode then at the end it said in memory of Cory Monteith and I realised that he died in real life and they probably weren’t acting this episode. RIP
The grief in their faces throughout this song, and this entire episode is very hard to watch. It must have been so hard for all of them to stand up and sing and not break down every time.
Just watched this episode with my mom. She cried her heart out and so did I. She wasn't interested in Glee before but now ahe ask me every night to watch the show together. We haven't been that close like....never. I guess Glee does bring people together. ❤
Thank you for this. This has been my therapy. I lost my brother last October 2022. And my dad right after 7 months. This song reminded me how fragile life is - and how life will be. Still struggling, but we’ll all gonna make it 😉 BIG THANK YOU
This is so heartbreaking, I watched this episode for the first time on Monday when the attack happened (obviously I didn't plan for that to happen at the same time). It made me cry then it makes me cry now
You can see the pain and anguish on their faces-especially the ones closest to Finn, during this performance. The first song I started crying and I cried for the rest of the episode. I may not have known Cory in real life but somehow this episode made me feel like I knew him my entire life and that we were best friends. Maybe it's because I was on this Glee journey with these characters that made me relate to them and like them. Finn started off as this bully jock who didn't have a purpose and no direction, but Glee club pointed him in One Direction-and that was to be a good person and to work hard not only on the field but in the choir room. It pains me, even more, to know that just like FInchel, Lea and Cory were dating in real life and that many of these actors cried and had a breakdown during filming. I sobbed hysterically during Carols speech and Rachels performance of to Make You Feel My Love. Cory and Naya. We miss u and love you guys.
Everybody had such great vocals here despite being so emotional during recording. It was obviously such a fresh wound and they really poured all of that into a great tribute. I remember watching this for the first time freshman year. It's unfortunately cut off in this video, but immediately after the song ends they show the 'Glee' title card with Cory waving goodbye as the 'L' - and it still gets me every time.
This honestly gets me every time ive watched glee 6 times and still gets me its just sad how u could loose someone just in one night like they could all happy but you never know whats going on in tgeir life i would necer want to wake up if i were Lia even though i never met Cory i still kind of feel like hes a part ir me some how #RIPCORY you will never be forgotten 😭💖💑

It made me cry then it makes me cry now
It's incredible how EVERYTIME I listen to this, it always gives me shivers.
Memories
I watch the Glee series over and over again, but this episode always makes me cry.
We still love you Cory
Still takes me back and brings tears to my eyes. RIP ❤
This made me cry because this song has so much meaning behind it.
I cry every time I watch this it’s too beautiful and too painful
the most heartbreaking song ...
I could really see the amount of pain in Mercedes’s face throughout the whole song..
This hits hard right now for me 😭
This song hits different now. Rest in peace beautiful Naya❤️
She has joined Cory and Puck in heaven
Everybody had such great vocals here despite being so emotional during recording. It was obviously such a fresh wound and they really poured all of that into a great tribute.
I remember watching this for the first time freshman year. It's unfortunately cut off in this video, but immediately after the song ends they show the 'Glee' title card with Cory waving goodbye as the 'L' - and it still gets me every time.
I respect that they made it through this song without crying.
This opening was pure talent and raw emotion.

Man this so sad to listen now.
#prayformanchester I don't know why people are so cruel. Kudos to you (Glee Scenes) for being so brave. You know I'm here for you.
I watched this episode the night it came out. I usually streamed it the next day but this one I needed to watch with everyone else. I haven’t been able to watch it since.
I swear this whole episode just tears me apart every time I watch it.
Today was the first time I watched this since it aired... still all the feels. I couldn't watch anymore but now I think I need to watch it all.
They sing this really great, but it's to heartbreaking to watch...
And I think the originals sing this more emotional, they worked with him about 4 yrs...
i can’t count how many times i cried for so long anymore on this
I'm not crying, you're crying😭🙌🏽 Amber Riley's vocals...*chefs kiss*
I still remember watching this episode air. I was in tears the whole episode.
