Also, I agree as a female aura player, I just didn’t want cute cat ears, I wanted cute horns.
Everyone knows horns are better than cat ears.
After all, horns act as great handles for the push and pull motion. And they're not only useful when moving the head. Instead of grabbing her arms, just grab her horns (or tail).
You can't do that with ears, since ears are super sensitive. Horns, on the other hand, are tougher and can take the punishment.
Last but not least, horns are good for horni puns.

Considering the size of the females, Im going to guess that anyone expecting large "equipment" from the male Au Ra would be disappointed. Just as players who choose male Xaela DRK are compensating for something, so too are their characters
Also, what you said around 27:00 or so got me thinking. I think the reason male Lalafell players are the most likely to be kinda assholes (while also being some of the most skilled, generally) is because they got a lot of players early on who were Gnome PVP sweaties back in Vanilla/TBC
Common misconception. Size of female will not equate to size of a males equipment. Look up lions.. males are pretty big and barbed.. have to bite the female to relax her during mating.

I have to be honest and say every little thing people hate about every race in particular is what makes me want to make one of each and what I love about them all. I already have an alt Au Ra Male and an alt Elezen male like I really don't care what they look like they all have their own unqiue charm to them.
Also I am a Male Miqo'te and I will not change that to a bun boi even if they are quite tempting!

Me being a male hyur midlander since I got the game back at the end of 2014. I don't RP in ff but my character is based off a D&D character a friend made for me way back.
Average human from earth who got “Isekaied,” for lack of a better word, into D&D. Started out a basic nobody but eventually became a sword and board magic weilding force of nature, like an OP Isekaied protago.
Friend ended up making him a world jumping summon similar to a primal in ff14 to support other campaigns;
So when I got ff14 I was like. “Hmm... I have just the character.”
Had em ever since.
Still got that free fantastic.

My main is a male Hyur..but it wasn't my initial creation, when I created my own character from scratch I was torn from a burly Hrothgar and making a cat or bunny girl. But I decided to go a different route in my character creation and I wanted to pay homage to a character from another game and they are a human. So while I don't normally play humans in my fantasy games I did for this because I am light role playing a certain character from another game that like Noctis was mysteriously transported to Eorzea. I limited myself because of this. I would likely be some cat girl by now if I wasn't so invested and if I ever got in trouble for basically cosplaying this character in game I would so be changing to a cat girl lol.

I 100% race changed from female Miqote to female Au'Ra because edgy, also the cat ears makes every battle outfit look like a joke. Male Miqotes though? Kings.

As a male Elezen who fantasia'd from male Au Ra:
1. I didn't wanna be part animal for my race
2. Hyur is bland
3. I didn't wanna be meming as a Roe
I play Midlander Hyur, and I refuse to use my Phantasia purely because I'm in an FC that is 60% Mi'qote
If I want to play a different race, I'm gonna go out of my to make an alt out of spite (that way my FC won't know until they're a level 80 Red Mage or Paladin)
