I hope that the true plot of Episode 8 is kept secret until it's proper release, but if bits and pieces of this are true, I would be fine with that. I keep listening to outrageous "plot leaks" for ideas and this one seems more grounded and interesting. Nice video Josh and apologies for all your backlash you received for even mentioning this.
if this at least partially true, my guess is that the mystery character with Finn is Sabine from Rebels (Rey's mom) who wields the darksaber and that Snoke was Ezra (Rey's dad)

Yes, but if you think about it, the same could be said for the situation of Leia & Vader. He captures her, yet he doesn't sense that he's trapping his own daughter. So perhaps it could be a real plot, no one knows for sure.

PT was a Skywalker's fall. OT was a Skywalker's conventional hero's journey, ST is a Skywalker's redemption arc. And if Rey is not a Skywalker/solo (she's not) and Kylo Ren is redeemed (he will be) well then...? Gotta continue the Skywalker lineage somehow for more trilogies, right ;)
Wow. An interesting theory to say the least! Spouse & I were 5 years old in 1977 & both fully remember seeing the original. We love these theories & give such respect to the younger generation coming up with them! If I had it my way Rey, standing before the last Jedi, feeling the ocean kissed breeze on the remote island, the sense of urgency calling out to the would-be galactic savior, seemingly fading away, transforming into a bitter fear. The Jedi felt her presence even before she arrived. It was a presence he had not felt in decades. It was not her own fear she was sensing. "You knew my father, and his father before him" Rey said with a sudden realization. "Yes" whispered Luke, now focusing his attention to the sea. Bitter-sweet memories flashing in his mind of a long forgotten past. "That is why you left me on Jakku! You were afraid! Afraid of what I might become! You're a coward!" Luke bowed his head in shame. "If only you knew the power of the darkside, the power of your lineage, the power countless Jedi died to suppress, the only cowardice I'm guilty of is not killing you when I had the chance" Rey stepping back into a defensive stance, holding onto Luke's saber, the brilliant blue light now flashing in her eyes. "So be it, Jedi" Grumbled Rey in an all too familiar fashion. "The dark and the light are very strong with you your Highness, your training begins now" Luke lunged at Rey, his bright green light saber now beaming, connects with Rey's, her training indeed had begun.
Though highly improbable, I would still like to see a turn of events like the thumbnail of this video. It would be a real twist to see Rey become the new, most powerful Sith. With Kylo going back to the light because he just can't quite be evil enough. He has shown that.
Darth Vader wounded his love and wife Padme more than likely thinking it also in turn killed her and his unborn child (or children in that case), right after killing off all a large portion of the Jedi order. Yet he was allowed redemption at the end of episode six.

I also have a theory. I think Rey is Snoke's daughter, who was put in a remote system for her protection when Snoke turned to the dark side. As for who Snoke is, well.. who knows. I would expect a good twist, such as a survivor of Order 66 or some other Jedi hunt (my initial guess is Obi-Wan's brother). I could write a detailed fanon, but I'm just not in the mood for that. Why I think Rey is Snoke's daughter, because in TFA's poster Rey seems like (at first glance) she's wielding a dual red lightsaber like Darth Maul's, which I think is made deliberately by designers to look that way to indicate that she is destined to go dark. Hell, who else is down for a scene in a future movie where roles are switched and Ben is fighting with the light side of the force and Rey with the dark side?
Ray needs to lose her hand first. Traditionally our main Jedis always have their hand chopped off by a lightsaber. Then we can discuss her parent for all I care.
What makes the production of Episode 8 so interesting is that a large chunk of the production is being done in a former hotbed of Cold War spy activity, so it's like an exercise in modern espionage - we never really know who was successful at it until the final film comes out, and that's the true test of how this works. Even then, we may not be told how they did it. So the game now is all about who,had real info vs who is just making shutout, or fell for one of the many fake script leaks. Heck, I cruised the old ILM location in SanRafael for some clues not that long ago, and it's practically a ghost town.

walking dead was the same way with scripts getting leaked no one could say anything or they would be sued or fired but I got a script a few days before the season 7 premiere and it was 100% real so who knows anything is possible with the internet now a day
ah, leaks happen all the time, just that a lot of them are fom early non used scripts that were later redone. not going to stop human nature and sometimes people are either just a###holes wanting to ruin thigns for others or just so excited by what they know that they can't help but spill the secrets. and on a set, all actors get their own copies of the script, so there are tons of copies everywhere and who's to say some jackk### from catering or a grip or someone doesn't pick it up, bring it home to read and someone finds it and leaks it? it's not like they are doing strip searches of the hundreds of people involved in the movie, and cell phones being forced to be kept off site? uh, don't think so. people always tweeting and facebooking selfies from movie sets. Effects crews and studios have to have all info in advance due to being able to plot out and manufacture the effects both computer and practical. Films are rarely if ever filmed in direct sequential scene order so what we see as say the last 5 min of the movie might have been things that were shot on the 1st day. they jump around based on all manner of situations from actor schedules, to cost considerations to location order/weather.
The Casino owner "Candy Man" could be Benicio Del Toro. Billy Dee Williams said he was not asked to be in the new Star Wars films. The Senator could be the woman with pink hair. Finn does go undercover with the "Mystry" girl called Rose, dressed as 1st order Officers seen in the BTS ( behind the scenes )Trailer. There has been parts given out showing some of the things said in this video so most of it could be correct. I hope Rey is not a Skywalker. I hope she is someone created by the Force or she is related to someone close to Luke but not his child. Maz even said the family Rey is waiting for will never return but Luke could return so that should prove Rey is not a Skywalker.
No. Abrams clarified that Rey's parents weren't revealed. The movie is called Star Wars, not A Star Wars Story. Rey is the main character. That means she is a Skywalker.

Dert McGert Episode 1 is not Anakin's story, he's only an important character. It's about the Republic, Politics and the start of the war against the Confederacy. However, the Skywalker-saga is nit really interesting. I'm more focused on SWTOR. However, episode 1 is an allround story.
This makes sense narratively Rey is being tempted by the dark side like Anakin (kylo said he could help her control her power) She's good at flying even though shes never flew a ship before Anakins saber called to her, and when she touches it, she gets a flash back, which includes the voice of young and old obiwan She also has amazing force ability, but at the same time, has a bit of rage like Anakin. Daisy said that she thought that everything was obvious to her.
I think the clue is in the title of episode 7, "The Force AWAKENS". It's about awakening that which was sleeping or dead. Qui-Gon, Obi-wan, Yoda, Palpatine (Emperor), Anakin (Vader), now Han Solo are all dead.... or waiting.
The idea of Ray and Kylo being siblings is tiring and weak... I certainly don't like this idea one bit, and hope it does not pan out to be true regarding the movie. We need something fresh and new; Ren being just a girl -- no connections to anyone we know, Kylo, of course we already know; he needs a reality check in the coin sack.
YES! Candy Man = Lando Calrissian -- Billy Dee begged to be a cameo. Mystery is an Asian actress that everyone has already talked about, and she and Finn become emotionally close. If she does get shot in the back, I wonder if she survives to make it to the last movie. I think this is an early script and it has been added to. It doesn't yet include 2 people we KNOW are also in the movie -- Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro -- and we know what their plots are from another leak. The two leaks do not really conflict -- I think they weave into a nice overall narrative. Leia is captured because Laura Dern as fleet captain screws up. It is great that Kylo gets to talk to his severely injured mom. She may have originally been slated to survive to the last movie, but with the loss of Carrie Fisher, she'll get written out as lost. We know from the other leak that a huge fight scene occurs where Snoke mentally turns Rey against Luke mid-fight against Kylo, after Luke has already killed Benicio. We are left with a cliffhanger in both leaked plots as to how this ends. I am convinced, based on all of the leaks, that Rey is the daughter of a Palpatine child and an Obi Wan child, who as a couple, turned to the dark side, and Obi Wan had to do them in. Rey as a small child walks in on this scene and mentally grabs a light saber. Obi Wan and Ben Solo take her and Rey and Ben become close, but due to ongoing hostilities in space, Obi Wan drops her off. Ben gets ticked off at Obi Wan for hiding her and lets Snoke convert him to the dark side.
Maybe Rey has NO father. She is a female Anakin. Created by the midichlorians. She is the chosen one and if her existence was known she would be dangerous to both sides. Also JJ said here parents are not in episode 7. Just a guess from casting. Laura Dean is Mommy.
Well we all know now what a huge let down this movie was now. This debunked story would of actually been better than the crap Disney churned out in ep 8 .

Tbh, this is most likely correct, I mean, she was either going to be Luke or Leah's daughter and I doubt it would be Luke since it would seem strange for Luke to have a wife since we would have probably already been introduced to her if he had. The only thing that confuses me, is that if Maz knew this, why did she say whoever left her, was never coming back in EP.7 but Luke still could? At the time Han was alive, surely she would have told her right then that Han was her father? It doesn't make sense.. Which makes me wonder, is Ray even related to the Skywalker family?
This might actually be legit, and if it is I am thoroughly disappointed :-/ I read a script leak for TFA before it came out and a majority of it was actually true :( Given that, I really hope Disney doesn't go for the easy path and keep repeating the same approach of remaking the original trilogy. We fans deserve better than just remakes--enough with just repeating the same old shit! Give us something that will actually blow our minds--give us a fan theory that is so crazy that it's actually true! I really hope Snoke is either Plagueis or Mace WIndu. And I also really hope that Kylo and Rey aren't related. That's too easy and demonstrates 0 creativity. TFA was a let down in many ways. Let's not make episode 8 a repeat of that.

i dont believe this video... i honestly think luke is both rey and ren's father... if you watch the force awakens, after rey touches the lightsaber for the first time and has the vison, maz comes up to her and says "that lightsaber was luke's, as was his father's before him. and now it calls to you." and maz goes on to explain the force to rey... in this moment, it reminded me of when yoda was training luke in the empire strikes back; where in the force awakens, this is where rey gets her first real information about the force... so maz says " and now it (the lightsaber) calls to you." she wouldn't say that if luke wasnt her dad... i think before luke went into exile, he had twins, just like darth vader ( leia and luke), and luke gave ren to han and leia when he was a baby; leia being his sister, and maybe her and han couldn't have kids could be luke's motive for giving ren up.. then years later, han and leia send ren to be trained by luke to be a jedi and ren betrays him, sending luke to leave a child rey on jakku with unkar platt. if you watch rey's vision sequence with closed captions on, one of the last lines said before it ended was obi wan saying "rey?" causing her to turn, seeing kylo ren, which makes her fall out of the room. when she hits the ground, obi wan says " these are your first steps." those who unfamiliar with the series; obi wan trained both luke and anakin skywalker (darth vader, lukes dad)... another thing, if this is true, and kylo ren realizes snoke used him to kill who he (snoke) thought was his father, therefore sending ren full on to the dark side; maybe ren finds luke teaching rey the ways of the force and the three agree to use the entirety of the force; dark side and the light... one kid using the light of the force, and the other using the dark side; both trained and fully mentored by their master jedi father? boom, there's your balance to the force that anakin was supposed to accomplish in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith...... agree or disagree?

in the original star wars expanded story Han and Leia have 3 kids, twins Jacen an Jana, Jacen goes Sith, and the third is Anakin Solo who dies saving them causing Jacen to go to the dark side. It would be weird if they decided to go and have her be his sister. Anakin Solo was my favorite character out of the 3 of them by the way, he was a bad ass.
I think Rey is Luke's Daughter, through relationship with Po Damerons Mother. Po and his mother lived on Yavin, the force tree remnant was planted near them and gifted by Luke. There was a history between Luke and pos Mother. She has Lukes bloodline and rich connection to the force having been young growing within the trees proximity. My Theory is Po and Rey are full brother and sister, explains his mad piloting skills and similar facial compositions with each other and Luke. After the death of the new jedi academy it was Pos Mother who left her on Jakku.
I liked this script. I would prefer Rey to be Ben's cousin, because 1. This is too close to the Legends story of Han and Leia's children and 2. Luke and Leia were sibling and I dont want another rehash of the OT. But still, I'm happy with this script

Rey's parents maybe Force-Sensitives from Jedi families with lineages that date back to two characters [Nona Sunrider & Bastila Shan] that aren't re-canonized yet.
I have believed since week one of release, they where siblings, maybe even twins. Throwback. Or they could share only Solo as father. Or only mother, she may have thought her killed on Alderann. Or maybe the stories of how Rey and the Falcon ended up on same planet are more linked, as in whom ever took the Falcon, took their daughter at the same time. Could have even been Luke, forseeing what might happen with Ren and chose to hide her. Or a different Jedi. Maybe one thought long dead. Or the other parent if they are only half siblings. Might explain why Hans was sooo excited to find that little old ship. The one he has is bigger and better. But his daughter disappeared with that little ship, and/or why Chewey even gives her the nod to take Hans place on it. Maybe Rhea isn't her real name, the helmet she was wearing had the name of a famous x-wing pilot, named Rhea. The destroyer she was in at the beginning was captained by a Rhea. Maybe she adopted the name, since she had forgot her own real name, or didn't want to remember it and/or didn't want anyone else to either. in any event, I do believe they are related, just how remains to be seen. I also like the theory she is the daughter of Luke and Obi Won's daughter. Like father like son, he falls for an older woman too. That makes her Ren's cousin.

A lot of it has already been leaked by looking at set photos and scenes etc, especially CAP more than likely meaning The Capital City. The horseback with mystery girl sneaking into the city we already know is true. I really enjoyed listening to this one and even though I know it, I would LOVE to see this played out.

only thing i will say is i believe its fake as i don't believe rey is han and leia's daughter.. as im sure one of them would have recognised her (or at least leia would have had some kind of feeling through the force even if vaguely).. and the fact that han and leia both looked at rey as if it was the first time meeting, its highly unlikely they are her parents...
My guess? This is like that "No. Obi-Wan killed your father!" script "leak" from back when The Empire Strikes Back was being made. While that was indeed the line in the script the studio had released to the cast and crew, it was decoy to keep the nosy media from discovering what the big twist in the story was going to be in case someone blabbed about it (which, according to Mark Hamill in an interview years later, someone did). In our time, with every yahoo with a TH-cam channel eager to spoil the upcoming movie before it's released, a simple variation on the trick they used to throw the media off the scent last time might actually work even better: hand out early unrevised drafts of the script with various rejected ideas for the big reveal to the cast and crew, and then encourage them to "leak" these scripts in various social media, with a few leaks going to "respectable" mainstream media outlets as well; I mean, what better way to hype your movie while throwing everyone off the scent with red herrings, y'know? In other words, while some elements of the script as stated here will probably turn up in the actual movie when it's released, any big reveals in it are fake; needless to say, Rey will *not* turn out to Kylo Ren's sister (in what would be a pretty cheap rehash of Luke's own "Sorry Leia, I can't be your boyfriend because you're my twin sister and Vader's our father" reveal anyway). My guess? Episode VIII: The Last Jedi's big reveal will be of Rey's mother (and possibly that mother's husband) who left her behind on Jakku... and then it will further reveal that although she did indeed give birth to Rey and take care of her for a few years, she was only a hired surrogate mother, and doesn't *know* who Rey's biological parents are. That would make J.J. Abrams' claim that Rey's parents don't appear in The Force Awakens and subsequent backtracking on that claim both quite true, since her *birth mother* (and step-father, if there was one) didn't actually appear in The Force Awakens, and neither Rey nor her biological parents know anything about their being related to each other yet; it would also defer the ultimate resolution of this mystery to Episode IX, which should yield massive turnout of audiences eager to find out how the story ends, which in turn should result in lots of ticket sales and huge profits for Disney and everyone else involved in making and marketing these movies.
Rey can't be a solo. JJ confirmed that Rey's family is NOT in TFA. HAN and LEIA were both in TFA, so was Luke, and I would say even Vader because he is mentioned and his mask is shown. I do hope that Rey is a Kenobi, yet his voice was heard several times in Rey's vision. I hope that Rey is not a Skywalker, because that would be a mistake and unoriginal.

I would not be surprised if whoever is working on the script has had a bit of inspiration in showing an early version of the scripts and taking notes on what people comment about it and seeing what it is that fans expect. Deleting their reddit account is perhaps not an admission that the script is fake but maybe avoiding the lawsuit that would surely fall upon him/her/them?
I have believed from the first watching the week it opened that Ren and Rey where siblings! I believed it because Ren couldn't brake her, but it seemed as if he knew her, and knew her well, knew how powerful she could become.
A "leak" from BattleFrontUpdates also confirms that Rey is Ren sister. Rey is also in the exact same place as the Millennium Falcon, and both seem to be "owned" by the exact same person, Unkar Plutt. In Rey's vision, in the book, she hears a voice say, "I'll come back for you sweetheart." Sweetheart is what Han calls Rey in A.N.H. and Empire. I think Han hid "little Rey" underneath the floorboards of the ship while saying that. In the movie Han is shown searching the entire galaxy for the ship and screwing over fellow smugglers out of their money. I think Han was just trying to find Rey and using that money to find her. When Rey "bypasses the compressor" that's when Han realizes that Rey is his daughter and Han then makes a B-line for Chewy. Rey's anguish on Jakku was shown in the movie. As well as her having some sort of "force connection" to Ren. I think Ren felt Rey's pain on Jakku and that turned him to the dark side. (In Star Wars someone turns to the dark in order to save a loved one and/or because of the loss of a loved one.) When Ren tells Han that, "he was week and foolish like his father," that's because Ren blamed his father, as well as himself, for failing to protect "little Rey."

At the moment he said big mama my initial thought was Martin Lawrence's big mama showing up like halfway through the movie and saying "what the hell all this fightin for" and smacking a couple of stormtroopers on the noggin before sending them all to time out. He would put Kylo in his place so fast that he wouldn't have time to cry again
Yes, she's Han and Leia daughter, if you know the story of the twins Solo, you will know that she's stronger than Ben and to protect her they send her to Jakku, that's why she's very familiar with the Millennium Falcon, Chewaka loves her, she's a great pilot and strong with the Force
Wasn't it the millennium falcon that dropped Rey off when she was a little girl? That is shown in her vision when she's holding the light saber. Also, her skills with fixing the millennium falcon and flying it are reminiscent of Anakin and Luke. They both were very skilled with fixing robots and things and flying aircraft. And Anakin wasn't around to teach Luke those things, now was he. That smells like some kind of Skywalker to me.
I am not sure that Finn will be the major plot device of the 2nd film though I could be wrong. All of the events of the "leak" seem to be tied to him which I believe is more or less someone who has no concept of writing trying to guess what might be the crucial motivations of the characters.
Part of me is leaning towards believing this, only because it's following the original trilogy's storyline, Episode IV, the "hero" is found on a desert planet, Episode VII same thing, Episode VIII, one of the heroes is captured (supposedly) Episode V, Han was in the carbonite box, in Empire Luke is told that he is the villain's son, in the new movie Rey is the villain's sister. Seems like this is going to follow the OT spot on, but then again, these could just be things thrown out to confuse us all, MY FINAL OPINION: wait for the new movie to be released
Well, there was a diffrent script leaks that tie in with other leaks as well. One states that rey is a new chosen one, and has no father. (Rey asks Luke to admit he is her father, he says "No, You are my father") One States that Snoke created Anikin and is therefore Lukes and Leias Grandfather.
I don't have a problem with some of this being true, but it still doesn't make any sense that Rey is a Solo... if she was they would NOT have left her on Jakku...
Considering that Star Wars is a bout the sky walker legacy it would be weird for Rey to be completely new but it's possible as we have Kylo ten and he is a sky walker
I'm far more invested in the theory that Rey is the granddaughter of one of the British accent force-users: Obiwan or Palpatine specifically. Also, Snoke is Mace Windu, and Finn is the son of Windu.

People have spoken of Luke being her Dad..but if that was true I was under the impression a Jedi was part of a Priesthood and a Jedi was not permitted to have a relationship, as we saw with Anakin he kept his relationship a secret. It makes sense for Ren and Rey to be brother and sister.... I suspect Ren saved his sister ... you can see that in the flashback memory Rey has.... but he could not kill her, so he abandoned her on Jakku.
The word is "parents", i.e., no apostrophe. The only uses for an apostrophe are to show the position of missing letters in a contraction ((don't = do not), and possession (Rey's parents), but NEVER to show a plural, as it is here (actor's, movie's, robot's---WRONG, WRONG, WRONG).
I hope that the true plot of Episode 8 is kept secret until it's proper release, but if bits and pieces of this are true, I would be fine with that. I also have a theory. I think Rey is Snoke's daughter, who was put in a remote system for her protection when Snoke turned to the dark side. As for who Snoke is, well.. who knows. I would expect a good twist, such as a survivor of Order 66 or some other Jedi hunt (my initial guess is Obi-Wan's brother). I could write a detailed fanon, but I'm just not in the mood for that.
Why I think Rey is Snoke's daughter, because in TFA's poster Rey seems like (at first glance) she's wielding a dual red lightsaber like Darth Maul's, which I think is made deliberately by designers to look that way to indicate that she is destined to go dark. Hell, who else is down for a scene in a future movie where roles are switched and Ben is fighting with the light side of the force and Rey with the dark side?

What makes the production of Episode 8 so interesting is that a large chunk of the production is being done in a former hotbed of Cold War spy activity, so it's like an exercise in modern espionage - we never really know who was successful at it until the final film comes out, and that's the true test of how this works. Even then, we may not be told how they did it. So the game now is all about who,had real info vs who is just making shutout, or fell for one of the many fake script leaks. Heck, I cruised the old ILM location in SanRafael for some clues not that long ago, and it's practically a ghost town.

ah, leaks happen all the time, just that a lot of them are fom early non used scripts that were later redone. not going to stop human nature and sometimes people are either just a###holes wanting to ruin thigns for others or just so excited by what they know that they can't help but spill the secrets. and on a set, all actors get their own copies of the script, so there are tons of copies everywhere and who's to say some jackk### from catering or a grip or someone doesn't pick it up, bring it home to read and someone finds it and leaks it? it's not like they are doing strip searches of the hundreds of people involved in the movie, and cell phones being forced to be kept off site?
uh, don't think so. people always tweeting and facebooking selfies from movie sets. Effects crews and studios have to have all info in advance due to being able to plot out and manufacture the effects both computer and practical. Films are rarely if ever filmed in direct sequential scene order so what we see as say the last 5 min of the movie might have been things that were shot on the 1st day. they jump around based on all manner of situations from actor schedules, to cost considerations to location order/weather.

I think the clue is in the title of episode 7, "The Force AWAKENS". It's about awakening that which was sleeping or dead. Qui-Gon, Obi-wan, Yoda, Palpatine (Emperor), Anakin (Vader), now Han Solo are all dead.... or waiting.
The idea of Ray and Kylo being siblings is tiring and weak... I certainly don't like this idea one bit, and hope it does not pan out to be true regarding the movie. We need something fresh and new; Ren being just a girl -- no connections to anyone we know, Kylo, of course we already know; he needs a reality check in the coin sack.
YES! Candy Man = Lando Calrissian -- Billy Dee begged to be a cameo. Mystery is an Asian actress that everyone has already talked about, and she and Finn become emotionally close. If she does get shot in the back, I wonder if she survives to make it to the last movie. I think this is an early script and it has been added to. It doesn't yet include 2 people we KNOW are also in the movie -- Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro -- and we know what their plots are from another leak. The two leaks do not really conflict -- I think they weave into a nice overall narrative. Leia is captured because Laura Dern as fleet captain screws up. It is great that Kylo gets to talk to his severely injured mom. She may have originally been slated to survive to the last movie, but with the loss of Carrie Fisher, she'll get written out as lost. We know from the other leak that a huge fight scene occurs where Snoke mentally turns Rey against Luke mid-fight against Kylo, after Luke has already killed Benicio. We are left with a cliffhanger in both leaked plots as to how this ends. I am convinced, based on all of the leaks, that Rey is the daughter of a Palpatine child and an Obi Wan child, who as a couple, turned to the dark side, and Obi Wan had to do them in. Rey as a small child walks in on this scene and mentally grabs a light saber. Obi Wan and Ben Solo take her and Rey and Ben become close, but due to ongoing hostilities in space, Obi Wan drops her off. Ben gets ticked off at Obi Wan for hiding her and lets Snoke convert him to the dark side.
Maybe Rey has NO father. She is a female Anakin. Created by the midichlorians. She is the chosen one and if her existence was known she would be dangerous to both sides. Also JJ said here parents are not in episode 7. Just a guess from casting. Laura Dean is Mommy.

Tbh, this is most likely correct, I mean, she was either going to be Luke or Leah's daughter and I doubt it would be Luke since it would seem strange for Luke to have a wife since we would have probably already been introduced to her if he had. i dont believe this video... i honestly think luke is both rey and ren's father... if you watch the force awakens, after rey touches the lightsaber for the first time and has the vison, maz comes up to her and says "that lightsaber was luke's, as was his father's before him. and now it calls to you." and maz goes on to explain the force to rey... in this moment, it reminded me of when yoda was training luke in the empire strikes back; where in the force awakens, this is where rey gets her first real information about the force... so maz says " and now it (the lightsaber) calls to you." she wouldn't say that if luke wasnt her dad... i think before luke went into exile, he had twins, just like darth vader ( leia and luke), and luke gave ren to han and leia when he was a baby; leia being his sister, and maybe her and han couldn't have kids could be luke's motive for giving ren up.. then years later, han and leia send ren to be trained by luke to be a jedi and ren betrays him, sending luke to leave a child rey on jakku with unkar platt. if you watch rey's vision sequence with closed captions on, one of the last lines said before it ended was obi wan saying "rey?" causing her to turn, seeing kylo ren, which makes her fall out of the room. when she hits the ground, obi wan says " these are your first steps." those who unfamiliar with the series; obi wan trained both luke and anakin skywalker (darth vader, lukes dad)... another thing, if this is true, and kylo ren realizes snoke used him to kill who he (snoke) thought was his father, therefore sending ren full on to the dark side; maybe ren finds luke teaching rey the ways of the force and the three agree to use the entirety of the force; dark side and the light... one kid using the light of the force, and the other using the dark side; both trained and fully mentored by their master jedi father? boom, there's your balance to the force that anakin was supposed to accomplish in attack of the clones and revenge of the sith...... agree or disagree?

in the original star wars expanded story Han and Leia have 3 kids, twins Jacen an Jana, Jacen goes Sith, and the third is Anakin Solo who dies saving them causing Jacen to go to the dark side. I think Rey is Luke's Daughter, through relationship with Po Damerons Mother. Po and his mother lived on Yavin, the force tree remnant was planted near them and gifted by Luke. There was a history between Luke and pos Mother. She has Lukes bloodline and rich connection to the force having been young growing within the trees proximity.
My Theory is Po and Rey are full brother and sister, explains his mad piloting skills and similar facial compositions with each other and Luke.
After the death of the new jedi academy it was Pos Mother who left her on Jakku.
I liked this script. I would prefer Rey to be Ben's cousin, because 1. This is too close to the Legends story of Han and Leia's children and 2. Luke and Leia were sibling and I dont want another rehash of the OT. But still, I'm happy with this script

I have believed since week one of release, they where siblings, maybe even twins. Throwback. Or they could share only Solo as father. Or only mother, she may have thought her killed on Alderann. Or maybe the stories of how Rey and the Falcon ended up on same planet are more linked, as in whom ever took the Falcon, took their daughter at the same time. Could have even been Luke, forseeing what might happen with Ren and chose to hide her. Or a different Jedi. Maybe one thought long dead. Or the other parent if they are only half siblings. Might explain why Hans was sooo excited to find that little old ship. The one he has is bigger and better. But his daughter disappeared with that little ship, and/or why Chewey even gives her the nod to take Hans place on it. Maybe Rhea isn't her real name, the helmet she was wearing had the name of a famous x-wing pilot, named Rhea. The destroyer she was in at the beginning was captained by a Rhea. Maybe she adopted the name, since she had forgot her own real name, or didn't want to remember it and/or didn't want anyone else to either. in any event, I do believe they are related, just how remains to be seen. I also like the theory she is the daughter of Luke and Obi Won's daughter. Like father like son, he falls for an older woman too. That makes her Ren's cousin.

A lot of it has already been leaked by looking at set photos and scenes etc, especially CAP more than likely meaning The Capital City. The horseback with mystery girl sneaking into the city we already know is true. I really enjoyed listening to this one and even though I know it, I would LOVE to see this played out.

only thing i will say is i believe its fake as i don't believe rey is han and leia's daughter.. as im sure one of them would have recognised her (or at least leia would have had some kind of feeling through the force even if vaguely).. and the fact that han and leia both looked at rey as if it was the first time meeting, its highly unlikely they are her parents...

My guess? This is like that "No. Obi-Wan killed your father!" script "leak" from back when The Empire Strikes Back was being made. While that was indeed the line in the script the studio had released to the cast and crew, it was decoy to keep the nosy media from discovering what the big twist in the story was going to be in case someone blabbed about it (which, according to Mark Hamill in an interview years later, someone did). In our time, with every yahoo with a TH-cam channel eager to spoil the upcoming movie before it's released, a simple variation on the trick they used to throw the media off the scent last time might actually work even better: hand out early unrevised drafts of the script with various rejected ideas for the big reveal to the cast and crew, and then encourage them to "leak" these scripts in various social media, with a few leaks going to "respectable" mainstream media outlets as well; I mean, what better way to hype your movie while throwing everyone off the scent with red herrings, y'know?
In other words, while some elements of the script as stated here will probably turn up in the actual movie when it's released, any big reveals in it are fake; needless to say, Rey will *not* turn out to Kylo Ren's sister (in what would be a pretty cheap rehash of Luke's own "Sorry Leia, I can't be your boyfriend because you're my twin sister and Vader's our father" reveal anyway). My guess? Episode VIII: The Last Jedi's big reveal will be of Rey's mother (and possibly that mother's husband) who left her behind on Jakku... and then it will further reveal that although she did indeed give birth to Rey and take care of her for a few years, she was only a hired surrogate mother, and doesn't *know* who Rey's biological parents are. That would make J.J. Abrams' claim that Rey's parents don't appear in The Force Awakens and subsequent backtracking on that claim both quite true, since her *birth mother* (and step-father, if there was one) didn't actually appear in The Force Awakens, and neither Rey nor her biological parents know anything about their being related to each other yet; it would also defer the ultimate resolution of this mystery to Episode IX, which should yield massive turnout of audiences eager to find out how the story ends, which in turn should result in lots of ticket sales and huge profits for Disney and everyone else involved in making and marketing these movies.

Rey can't be a solo. JJ confirmed that Rey's family is NOT in TFA. HAN and LEIA were both in TFA, so was Luke, and I would say even Vader because he is mentioned and his mask is shown. I do hope that Rey is a Kenobi, yet his voice was heard several times in Rey's vision. I hope that Rey is not a Skywalker, because that would be a mistake and unoriginal.

I would not be surprised if whoever is working on the script has had a bit of inspiration in showing an early version of the scripts and taking notes on what people comment about it and seeing what it is that fans expect. Deleting their reddit account is perhaps not an admission that the script is fake but maybe avoiding the lawsuit that would surely fall upon him/her/them?

I have believed from the first watching the week it opened that Ren and Rey where siblings! I believed it because Ren couldn't brake her, but it seemed as if he knew her, and knew her well, knew how powerful she could become.

A "leak" from BattleFrontUpdates also confirms that Rey is Ren sister. Rey is also in the exact same place as the Millennium Falcon, and both seem to be "owned" by the exact same person, Unkar Plutt. In Rey's vision, in the book, she hears a voice say, "I'll come back for you sweetheart." Sweetheart is what Han calls Rey in A.N.H. and Empire. I think Han hid "little Rey" underneath the floorboards of the ship while saying that. In the movie Han is shown searching the entire galaxy for the ship and screwing over fellow smugglers out of their money. I think Han was just trying to find Rey and using that money to find her. When Rey "bypasses the compressor" that's when Han realizes that Rey is his daughter and Han then makes a B-line for Chewy. Rey's anguish on Jakku was shown in the movie. As well as her having some sort of "force connection" to Ren. I think Ren felt Rey's pain on Jakku and that turned him to the dark side. (In Star Wars someone turns to the dark in order to save a loved one and/or because of the loss of a loved one.) When Ren tells Han that, "he was week and foolish like his father," that's because Ren blamed his father, as well as himself, for failing to protect "little Rey."

Yes, she's Han and Leia daughter, if you know the story of the twins Solo, you will know that she's stronger than Ben and to protect her they send her to Jakku, that's why she's very familiar with the Millennium Falcon, Chewaka loves her, she's a great pilot and strong with the Force

Wasn't it the millennium falcon that dropped Rey off when she was a little girl? That is shown in her vision when she's holding the light saber. Also, her skills with fixing the millennium falcon and flying it are reminiscent of Anakin and Luke. They both were very skilled with fixing robots and things and flying aircraft. And Anakin wasn't around to teach Luke those things, now was he. That smells like some kind of Skywalker to me.

I am not sure that Finn will be the major plot device of the 2nd film though I could be wrong. All of the events of the "leak" seem to be tied to him which I believe is more or less someone who has no concept of writing trying to guess what might be the crucial motivations of the characters.
Part of me is leaning towards believing this, only because it's following the original trilogy's storyline, Episode IV, the "hero" is found on a desert planet, Episode VII same thing, Episode VIII, one of the heroes is captured (supposedly) Episode V, Han was in the carbonite box, in Empire Luke is told that he is the villain's son, in the new movie Rey is the villain's sister. Seems like this is going to follow the OT spot on, but then again, these could just be things thrown out to confuse us all, MY FINAL OPINION: wait for the new movie to be released
Well, there was a diffrent script leaks that tie in with other leaks as well.
One states that rey is a new chosen one, and has no father. (Rey asks Luke to admit he is her father, he says "No, You are my father")
One States that Snoke created Anikin and is therefore Lukes and Leias Grandfather.
I don't have a problem with some of this being true, but it still doesn't make any sense that Rey is a Solo... if she was they would NOT have left her on Jakku...
Considering that Star Wars is a bout the sky walker legacy it would be weird for Rey to be completely new but it's possible as we have Kylo ten and he is a sky walker
I'm far more invested in the theory that Rey is the granddaughter of one of the British accent force-users: Obiwan or Palpatine specifically.
Also, Snoke is Mace Windu, and Finn is the son of Windu.

I think parts of it could be true, I think "the candy man " could be Lando Calrissean which would make sense bringing him back before the Han Solo movie with him in it, also I like the ending
People have spoken of Luke being her Dad..but if that was true I was under the impression a Jedi was part of a Priesthood and a Jedi was not permitted to have a relationship, as we saw with Anakin he kept his relationship a secret. It makes sense for Ren and Rey to be brother and sister.... I suspect Ren saved his sister ... you can see that in the flashback memory Rey has.... but he could not kill her, so he abandoned her on Jakku.
The word is "parents", i.e., no apostrophe. The only uses for an apostrophe are to show the position of missing letters in a contraction ((don't = do not), and possession (Rey's parents), but NEVER to show a plural, as it is here (actor's, movie's, robot's---WRONG, WRONG, WRONG).
