Stick. Currently using a Qanba Crystal with Seimitsu buttons and a Sanwa JLF joystick. The Crystal itself is very cheap. the stock buttons/stick aren't great and the build quality is bad, the cable door broke off in less than a month. Kind of expected from an entry level (~$130) stick, but still.
I want to try a hitbox someday.

Eh not really. Akatsuki doesn't have a command grab or teleports. He also doesn't have 2 supers that can punish you for pressing a button fullscreen. And he doesn't have a wakeup super that does 4.2k raw and gets a meterless combo. Akatsuki is just a shoto.
