- During the summer of 1989, a group of children in Tokyo were eyewitnesses to the appearance of Gamera, a kaiju in the form of a turtle. Gamera exhibited remarkable bravery as it confronted colossal monsters with a penchant for consuming humans.

The redesign of Klasik Kaiju in this series is Amazing ,They manage to make the design true with the original and make it somewhat better
I know right? they took monsters that would have been goofy in modern movies and made them both threatening and awesome

This show absolutely DELIVERED. The human characters are great. Just great all around. And yeah....how powerful was Gamera?!? Awesome. This show actually made Zigra a BADASS 🤯😅....just loved it
Yeah, I wish the series continued. I want to see Gamera fight Barugon, Legion, Zedus and Iris.

Man I really loved the designs of the Kaijus.
The humans are a little "strange" animated but overall somehow fit.
Really hope we will see a second season as there are still plenty of enemies left.
Or if that doesnt happen maybe give our monster queen Mothra some love and make an animated movie series like the Rebirth of Mothra live action series.

I have always been a Godzilla fan but this is my first real experience with Gamera and I can say with confidence I’m a fan! :D

I’ve never really been a Gamera fan, but after seeing this video, you just put out, I can happily say that this one looks a lot better than the old ones back in the day! The old ones were just terribly too corny for me to get into!!
Um....heisei gamera trilogy? Gamera the brave? Gamera rebirth isn't the only entry in the franchise that takes itself seriously. If gamera the brave/rebirth mixes a heisei/showa vibe together then the heisei trilogy was closer to being for adults in comparison given how much darker it gradually got

If they do make a season two I hope they at least get my buy Barugon in it. However it would most likely be Iris, Legion and Zedus, but that leaves a slot for Barugon. Can only pray though :(
I'd love to see their redesign of Barugon. Pretty bizarre they left him out of this season, but if that means he'll get more screen time in the sequel all the better.

I actually thought due to the Head shape of Super Gyoas that they were going to use Zedus but I only saw the Opening and ending of the show and that's what led me to that conclusion

If you know your Gamera lore then this show is basically a combination of Showa with Gamera connection to children minus the kids being annoying, a psychic connection like in the 90s trilogy, and obviously baby Gamera from Gamera the brave.
Now guiron is my favorite kaiju of gamera

Zigra i called it the water demon, if Rodan called the fire demon zigra is opposite of rodan if rodan's home is the volcano zigra's home is the ocean which is why i called zigra the water demon
How about water demon? Rodan would be called red demon if Zigra is called blue demon, so water demon might make more sense.

I love how tge kid protaganists are not annoying in this show and are actulley entertaining rather than the annoying kids in the 60s gamera films
I was hoping in Iris, think of it, a kaiju that can manipulate his cromosome to adapt new powers, in his every match with gamera every time would be different, what a wasted potential, i hope it ( is a kaiju so i call it, instead of she, he) will appear in the next season

Barugon was really missing from the series, why the hell did they not include him.
Well, it’s been hinted there’s a possible Sequel coming.
either they forgot it exitsted, or it wold be to hard to implement him in the anime, simply because of it's abillitys like the, the rainbow of destruction. The freezing tounge i can see happening but other then that HOW in the f*** wold they adapt a rainbow of destruction, also even if they removed that rainbow abillity i feel like Barugon wold act like another gyron or jiger. However hopefully they implement him in the next season
also another thing that may explain why they did not add him was because of the money they needed to work on the series.

Tbh I think Gamera was WAY too op in this series, they gave him a shit ton of abilities lol ( I mean I know that for the sake of the plot they couldn't do the battles that long and make Gamera suffer that much from each battle but still )
Btw Gamera's shell's color is not blue but water green
They really didn't, this is the most powerful gamera by far but he always struggled to land a legitimate hit on his opponents to actually kill them

@@gonzacabro1126 Buddy did heisei gamera snipe the moon? 😅 does heisei gamera have the ability to control gravity and deflect attacks? Or have a Shockwave attack akin to godzilla's nuclear pulse?. Rebirth gamera has more abilities than heisei gamera does, with most of them being capable of countering most of what heisei gamera can do.
On top of that, rebirth gamera is MUCH physically stronger, him being 800 tons and lifting/throwing gyaos, jiger and zigra, all of which weigh alot more than heisei gamera's 120 ton weight. Please don't say they made gamera too OP here but insist heisei gamera is stronger, make that make sense

You forgot to mention that surprisingly Jiger has some sort of third eye located in it's forehead oh, and surprisingly Zigra does not shoot its piercing projectyles by its mouth but from the cavity it has in between its chest and neck

Loved seeing the classic Gamera Kaiju's getting new looks, the only one that didn't gel with me was Zigra, it was just too close to being a Gyaos variant, wish they had played up the alien shark aspect a bit more.

I really liked the new designs. They are immediately identifiable to anyone familiar with the original films, but given a badass glow up. And best of all the story was actually decent, and the human drama didn't sideline the kaiju action.

My guy gamera and the gyaos were man made in the heisei trilogy and that was live action. Do I even gotta mention some incarnations of godzilla are mutated animals due to humanity mistreating radiation?. Kaiju born because of humans isn't new

The animation was mostlymgood for the action which was well choreographed and had very little to no cutaways to the humans, it's mostly the human animation that was off.
My theory on this is that this is connected to the 2006 gamera movie gramera the brave where there was a baby gamera named toto so i think this anime series is beofre gamera the brave
