I saw your test with the Peak and Marabou and noticed that the Marabou spins faster. It looks like this kite is doing really well, even if there is little snow at the moment, it looks like a lot of fun 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Yes, depower is quite good. It depowers more in the sense that it will sit further to the edge of the wind window and allow you to penetrate upwind better. Because it is cleaner and doesn't flutter as much, it moves faster through the wind window and I might keep a little more power in a surge than a Peak (probably more like the Peak4 than Peak 5), but still dumps power well, and has more of the depower sensation of a single skin kite than a traditional open cell or closed cell twinskin kite. The other thing I've noticed you have most or all of your depower within the bar throw range, although the depower isn't quite as binary as a Peak 4. Overall, very happy w/ the depower of the kite; I had the 4m in some really gusty winds with large power spikes, and it dumped power really well and resisted invert/collapses, even when fully depowered.
Been very interested in real world reviews of this kite. I heard from someone who tested the 10 in Hood River that it had plenty of power to twintip on! I’m looking for a lightwind foil and snowkite option. Please, when you can, test the 10 and comment on its windrange vs the 8. Not sure what the wind was in this test but it looked like that 8 had you cookin’ along just fine!
@@jeffschake6801 I had the 10 m out on snow yesterday in the neighbor's field, and it is impressive. The thing I keep coming back to is just how well the kites do at going upwind versus a normal single skin. The 10 meter has a lot of power and I can tell it's going to be my light wind kite of choice for Mountain snow kiting this winter. They fly much cleaner than previous single skins, and allow you to carry more speed. They are not going to have the real big air boosting power of something like a Gin Spirit or FS soul, but they still have some fun lift. I plan on twin-tipping with them over Christmas and will report back, but for lighter wind snowkiting and foiling, you will not be disappointed. Still got a couple 10's remaining - ping me at coloradokitesports@gmail.com, and I can get you hooked up!
Really looking forward to your report on twintipping with the 10! That’s the last piece of the puzzle for me as far as getting a real world report! Really appreciate you posting up your experiences with the Marabou2!
@@jeffschake6801 terrible news - I have to cancel my trip, so won't be able to test the 10m on water; however I have a customer whose been twin-tipping with it and here is some of their feedback (feel free to contact me and I can get you more info): Today I rode at the sandbar off Marblehead (across from Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky Ohio, western end). Anyhow, the base wind was 15 mph-ish with a few gusts rolling in above 20. I rode my 10 M Soul, the 10 M Marabou and my 12 M Flysurfer Speed 4. The winds were stronger in the morning and I was on my 10M Soul. Later in the day I switched to my 12 Speed 4, I had trouble getting upwind but could maintain my line, in the gusts the 12M was just fine. I then put up the 10M Marabou (aka stump puller). No surprise that it turned quicker than the 12, but I was honestly a bit surprised that it pulled harder and I was able to get upwind a bit easier than the 12M. I tried jumping in a few gusts, let's just say chop hopping was easier than sending the kite to jump for me. Oh I almost forgot, I was making the 10M Marabou work when the three other adult kiters were on 14s and 15s and not doing any better or worse than me on the Marabou. I'm 160, the 90 pound 12 year old with us was riding a 10M Razor...Yes pretty happy with the kite for light wind twin tipping!! :-)

straight up grasskiting :D
Drive it like you stole it.
Hi, is the depower much like the peak 5 kites. thanks
In what way are you referring? (fwiw, I haven't ridden the Peak5, only Peak4)

Never seen grass ski 😂
where is the snow
I ask myself the same question.
La Nina weather patterns tend to be bad for snow in a lot of Colorado, but hopefully that will change soon.
