  • Everyone agrees sleeping on a cot outdoors is more comfortable than sleeping on the floor of a tent and its never been easier than with the new Ozark Trail Instant Tent Cot. This tent cot is built on an oversized steel frame that sets up in just seconds. Best of all, the only loose parts are the rainfly and tent stakes. Everything is pre-assembled at the factory. It's that easy, just unfold, extend and telescope the steel poles and its ready to go. The included rainfly is great for cooler nights and when rain is in the forecast.

Thank you so much for the review. I plan on purchasing one for the Everglades. Now I know the rain fly is a challenge, thanks!

This tent will not keep you dry even in a small rainstorm

Was thinking the same thing. Get the Teton one buy the longer rainfly they’re awesome, comfortable and easy to setup. Maybe costs more but you get what you pay for. Also you can use the tent separately.😉

I’m guessing the cancer warning is because of flame retardants, which are on everything. Great review! Thank you for showing it folded up !

Most manufacturers put these warnings on products just to cover them from being sued by the state of California (because they have in fact sued companies for not having the warning). California proposition 65 cover BPA and Vinyl Chloride (PVC) which are in most plastics. Unfortunately any product sold in California will have a Proposition 65 warning. I poke fun at it because I've seen them on nearly everything. While the intent of Prop 65 was to "inform" consumers, the impact of warnings under the Act has been a proliferation of meaningless warnings. Virtually every business has some sort of Prop 65 warning sign posted, and innumerable products are labeled with the warning. From gas stations to hotels, from grocery stores to hardware stores, consumers are deluged with warnings that they are being exposed to unnamed carcinogens and reproductive toxins. They are not told either the degree of exposure or the likelihood that they may actually be impacted by it. Moreover, because the risks to business of not providing a warning, many provide a warning even though they don't actually know whether an exposure is occurring, or even if the exposure is trivial, further diluting the meaning of warnings to consumers.

With the rainfly on do you get good ventilation when unzipping the rainfly access points on the sides, top and front area?

You will need to figure out where to unzip for good ventilation. It's fairly easy.

Thanks for the review, I'm looking for something to take when I go solo, and don't want to take the Roof Top Tent.

Not a bad idea, for car camping, perhaps your standard 4 man $33 Walmart tent combined with a cot diagonally might be an alternative solution.

I like Kayak fishing and I work nights so sometimes I throw one of these in the truck and go straight from work to the lake. Get a few hours sleep then fish all day.

Looks like the rainfly is low enough that you could store gear under the cot out of the elements. Nice review, thanks.

How high are the tent ends? The tent part only. I want to know if an air mattress will still leave enough room for sitting straight up and for feet to be upright when laying.

Dude, Is a tent cot, not a tent, use a camping mat, they have memory foam ones that are very comfortable.By the way he gives the dimensions, write them up to make sure it fits. Hope this helps. Teton has awesome memory foam mattress.

@@carmenmartinez2882 why don’t you let the bass angler respond since you are tactless? I know what I prefer to sleep on. There is nothing wrong with my comment.

I’ll stick with my Teton cot/tent. Might be more expensive but better built and easy to use. That being said, your review was very good and I appreciate it.👍🏻

I've never used the Teton. The Ozark Trail has been surprisingly good though. Thanks for watching.
