    Lovin my 6month old Sight. very playful for a bigger bike and also forgiving if you over cook (or undercook) those bigger lines. Climbs really well and pretty handy in the park too!

    Loving my Sight A3, its the base model but by crikey its a lovely beast. Rear end tended to bottom out too easy till I maxed out the volume tokens with a GnarDog + 2 and now its absolutely bottomless both ends🤙🏽

    Nice seeing you on the sight. IT's a bike I've been interested in. So many bikes I'd like to see you review; Orbea Rallon with the new linkage, new Marin Alpine Trail, maybe the new Evil Wreckoning, Canfield Lithium.... :) Love your channel. Hopefully we can get you back out to AZ soon on some of our new trails.

    I have a Sight and my son an Optic. Both awesome bikes.

  • @NoBrakes23
    @NoBrakes23 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I rode the previous generation Sight, (Which was less travel,) a couple of years ago. I'm a Weagle snob when it comes to linkages, but I was really impressed with how well Norco's Drop Link, (Which I believe is a Horst derivative,) did on climbs, even when standing. Solid bike, and I appreciate that they make it available in both carbon and alloy.
    The Optic also looks great, (though it's not available in alloy currently.) I normally shy away from the short travel trail bikes because I prefer a piggyback shock, but at 125mm with a SuperDeluxe, The Optic would be a fine ride. Tough choice between the two.

    Wish more bike companies built there lower end bikes with Shimano components, especially brakes. Sram mid to lower end components are such a disappointment. The new vitus is a great example of how it should be done for a good entry level bike. Awesome video as always.

    I've long been interested in checking out a Norco, never had the chance though. The Sight would totally be in the ball park of what I would be looking for though. That said, Jeff, you need to get Jenson to ship to over the new 2022 Niner WFO 9 RDO that just got released (when they are in stock). Interested to get your take on it.

    without making your sponsors mad, what did you think of the SRAM parts? I personally prefer SRAM brakes over Shimano (on the trail not in the shop.) I feel that Shimano doesn't have as much progressivity as the codes/guides.

      Great question Dimitrios! That Altitude was my favorite bike ever and for me it was a total home run. A big part of that was the adjustability. The Sight is great but I only have one ride on it.

  • @lagwall
    @lagwall 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    And Ripmo af over the Riply.
    The reason you ask? No matter how good a bike climbs, climbing is always going to suck vs going downhill. The whole reason we even climb in the first place is to go downhill. So I want the bike that is going to perform best on the downtown. :-)

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha soon enough! I am going to be posting content from the bikes that are loaners ASAP, where as I had to buy the Offering so there's no real deadline to get that stuff posted. I'll have the Offering for quite a while, at least until I get a bike to replace it. Maybe a Wreckoning?

    • @josetoha6504
      @josetoha6504 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeffKendallWeed Well, the fact that you bought it makes it even more intriguing then. I just found one by a fluke and bought it on the spot. There is such a shortage of bikes, and specially Evils, that is very hard to find reviews of the offering. Also, not many reviews come from riders that match the Evil playful personality as much as you do. I'll keep waiting patiently.

  • @loiczeq5551
    @loiczeq5551 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great review! I know you test a lot of stuff have you ridden coil on trail/enduro bike? Do you prefer air? why?
    Also you are ex professional racer why do you think a lot of EWS riders stick to air when quite a few people (ews riders included) say that coil is better and faster?

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jcob, I'm too much of a jumper, so I really like the progessivity of the air shocks. I have a coil on the Slayer and a coil on the WFO e9. On both bikes I'd love the ability to fine tune spring rate (rather than be stuck to 50# increments with a half hour of shop time) as well as progressivity. Coil is great for "wheels on the ground" riders. That said, I would like to try a coil on the SB130 Lunch Ride. I think the SB130LR has enough progressivity in its leverage rate that a coil could be a good fit on that particular bike.

    • @msgesus4518
      @msgesus4518 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeffKendallWeed thanks bud. I am the same height too. It's just with the norco size chart our height is right on the very end of medium and more into the large frame size. Whereas other brands medium is more or less bang in the middle. But the reach on the sight is 450 ish which is what I'm used to. Did it feel smaller than other bikes?
