The way he asked 'ready girl?', you can tell he sees her as a friend, not just an animal. She seems to be having fun and enjoys his company. Lovely to see.

Beautiful to watch and listen to one great kid with one beautiful bird singing together. We have a mob of kookaburras living in the bush near us in OZ we hear them every day they put a smile on your face whenever you hear them they are the most beautiful bird love em.🤣😂🦴👍👁👀
Great calls from Tristan and Sheila is in fine form. Lived in Sydney for 15 years and often saw Kookaburras in the Botanical gardens. Unfortunately, I’m one of the few that has never been able to make that noise with my tongue 😞

Sounds fun, but in reality everyone hates these birds. They're a pestilence of another world. If I lived in a more rural area I would shoot every single one of them at sight and remove their nests faster than they could build new ones, until they were all gone.
We have a group of kookas in our area, they make an amazing racket when they get started. Some have been raised by Wildlife Carers and ask for a free meal by sitting on the stair rails and opening their huge beaks. They tip their heads up and open their beaks and wait for the food to be placed in. Yes, it is a privilege to have their trust!
It's so good to see a small boy with such compassion for animals. If every parent would teach such compassion to our male children the world could be at peace instead of what we're living through.
@@Pashasmom1 There is a youtube channel from the US with a young couple who keep a few kookaburra for events like school shows. I assume they are licensed to keep these birds in fact they are probably to the right of this page where other similar videos are displayed.

I needed a kookaburra when my kids were growing up.
In Germany we call this bird "Laughing Hans" The zoo in Heidelberg houses a couple to the amusement of the visitors whenever they start to laugh.
