You are my best teacher, who gave me confidence in Houdini, your mainly introductory classes are the ones that made me firm in Houdini. Thank you very much my best teacher. God bless you.
Best intro ever, yes you can make fire with c4d, blender....but hold my beer, this is houdini!! jaja amazing as always. Thanks for share your knowledge
Hey, this has been great so far but I'm struggling to figure out what you pressed at 16:18. The cube visibility suddenly changes and nothing in that node chain is visible after that step on my end. Was this a hotkey? Thanks.
You navigation in the network is very smooth. I do have a decent machine but often when clicking a node it loads (cooks) and interrupts. Is this a setting i can change or is this just my machine. I have a strong machine
this is much needed. sir when i make pyro smoke it looks blurry and dull even with unit scale = 5. how can i fix that and get good resolution smoke n fire
Nice tutorial, but I don't understand why the change of parameters when you start creating the velocity field, why "3 floats", since this is a beginner course, would be nice to see a explanation.
is that long or short? I've been working professionally for over 10 years with cinema 4d and other software, but Houdini I picked up around early 2020 and started working professionally with it around 6 months later
It’s funny that every movie he showed as an example of Houdini was a flop/ and people have made blockbusters using free software hilarious how that works
If only you finished off projects in Fusion or something instead of Nuke on your website, I'd subscribe instantly... I can't do $500 a year for another software, especially not from Foundry...
"Those are cute and you can impress your mom" got me. 👏

Watched it all, seems like you touched all the basics to give us a good foundation. I appreciate it:)!
Glad it was helpful!

Best line ever lol
Whatever I show my mom she's impressed hahaha
@@voxyde 🙂🙂
Very cool tutorial, thanks for sharing! To fully complete the topic it would have been good to include caching, shading and rendering of pyro.
True! I'll probably add more lessons when I get the time :) Stay tuned
Superb lesson!
Great content, thanks for sharing. It would be great to have your take on a Introductin to pops or Vellum
Intro to POPs is next and I'll slowly work towards all the solvers
This course are really valuable

Hi thanka a lot. whats the link to the intro to volumes course???? thanks
amazing job!!!!!!!
Hey bro, thanks for this great video. For the courses is it possible to use Nuke free edition? Cheers.
Yes nuke non commercial will work
The error doesn't go away at 2:56...
EDIT. NVM, got it. Had to hit the little "eye" thing.
What command I have to use to see the physic object not the poligons?
Shift + W over viewport

For any attribute or volume you create you have to specify the Data type. I go a little bit into it in my other course "Intro to Houdini for VFX"
@@voxyde thanks for the answer, I will take a look at your other course. I am looking at the Side FX docs when I don't know a node
awesome
Hello. I have a big problem : my smoke is totally white, whithout any shade in my viewport. Do you know how can I fix that please ?
You need to add a light in your scene
@@voxyde Thank you :)
dang only 4 years youve been a pro?
is that long or short? I've been working professionally for over 10 years with cinema 4d and other software, but Houdini I picked up around early 2020 and started working professionally with it around 6 months later
@@voxyde it’s pretty short bro me I only know a bit of AE, but it’s my first time with these vfx softwares hopefully I pick it up quick
I know what im going to do today...
🔥🔥🔥
@@voxyde Even if im comfortable with Pyro.. I really didn't understand what Burn/Flame att doing - so thanks to explaining it!
Cool
It’s funny that every movie he showed as an example of Houdini was a flop/ and people have made blockbusters using free software hilarious how that works
They weren't a flop because of VFX. Your comment is as stupid as your username

You can follow along with the Nuke non commercial version which is free and you can render up to Full HD resolution, which is pretty sweet
