UPDATE: After the release of Act 2 (which included the rocket launcher) this video is now out of date. The rocket launcher allows you to traverse the level using rocket jumps (now literally), which don't deal damage. Since now I also work full-time, whilst also pursuing extramural education, I don't have time to do an updated version of the run, but I may be able to when I have some more time.
Also probably because there's a speedrunning catagory called NoMo, which stands for No Monsters, in which you go through the level as quickly as possible with enemy spawns disabled.
TH-cam uses keywords, not sentences, so it doesn't understand "no movement" it understands "no" and "movement" and if a video has "movement" in the title or description, it will recommend that, it doesn't care if one word isn't there though

the only thought of doing this challenge gives me pain, great edition and video idea *(ACT ll SPOILERS)* i think the addition of the rocket launcher probably would help in doing this challenge quickier and making it possible in other difficulties (except for the first part)
also second comment i am ganna do but how did you downpatch ultrakill i thought you couldnt do that i am curious to downpatch cause i heard that gabriel was harder when gluttony released you dont have to answer but i appreciate if you do(:
The general consensus is as long as you own the game, being able to acquire torrents of older game versions is *mostly* fine if there is no official way of downpatching the game, but any danger that comes with that is all on the user.
same knockback as malicious, given, the damage is only 35 over 50, but i haven't found it that useful considering it's way, way harder to angle properly (also obvs used for oob for 3-2)
I'm gonna be honest, once I started freaking out and shooting and punching at him with wild abandon he somehow died faster than he did during any of my attempts at using planned strategy. If all else fails I think you need to lose some of your humanity.
I found it too unpredictable and unreliable especially against walls, not to mention it feels like the explosion knockback seems weaker unlike a core eject. Given, I could've used parried shotgun explosions to pogo-jump (if you're a TF2/quake player, you know) across some levels, it's still not reliable enough especially when managing HP is important.
funnily enough; i didn't if you pay close attention (or play the level yourself), you can see there is a bit of wall sticking out above the door, which made me slide off it instead of falling straight down

to get through certain rooms you couldve used b hopping to lose less momentum when you hit the ground, making less damage required for big rooms
Bhopping requires jumping, which is not allowed here
