Bermuda is so small, for most, I would say don't worry about being close to the beaches or an ocean view. Everywhere you go on the island, you will eventually end up at the ocean and if you work in Hamilton, the water is right on front street. Also, living right on the ocean means issues with potential salt water and hurricanes. And, don't forget, there are ferries that can take you town from each end, and also from Salt kettle, etc.
Yes, there are a lot of places with big gardens!! The house we used to rent had a huuuuge garden and wasn't too crazy expensive. Bermuda is very dog friendly but definitely would be good to check with the landlord if they are okay with dogs using the garden. 😊
