ahmm..first, congratz to sorana, this match is very close, it could have gone either way, i thought eala will get it, the last 2 games was very crucial, if eala didn't made a lot of errors, she could have won this, never make mistakes when the score is very close like 4-4 third set, eala must practice ace, sliding, top spin, serve and volley ang "the" lethal weapon is drop shots, mixture of all court game, versatility is the key, eala is a hard-hitter, tall, good reach, she needs a good nutritionist and be careful on what she eats, she has a very bright future, just keep going, very young at 18. Job well done, eala.

Great game played by Alex! Thank God, she now has power returns and great stamina! Sorana played a more heady game, and I think it is in the strategy, placement of returns, footwork, positioning, and power service where Alex and her coach can improve.
Alex Eala is developing to be a great force in WTA soon. Filipino athletes reach their strength and power peak at age 22 to 25. So, there is so much hope in her. Keep going Eala.

What a chance, cannot sustain her service game in the 3rd and lost steam in the final stages but theres no denying that shes slowly breaking into the elite of tennis, a dream match with swiatek would have been an incredible story for phil tennis

Yun na nga ang sinabi ko. Di sya aabot ng 3rd round. Kasi hanggang power hits lang sya, walang variation ng play. Kaya naauubos lakas di maka sustain ubos na sa baseline strokes.
This is her best game so far against Top seed players.
She needs to improve her resistence for long game like this.
Overall she improved since her junior days. She has gotten more powerful. I like her bravery of adding dimension to her game. I think footwork needs a bit of improvement.
Alex could have won this match and faced 1GA R3. Sorana is still a good player for her age. Alex is only 18 and making her journey in the WTA. She has a bright future so long as she practice more on her groundstrokes.
Alex needs a "Freddie Roach" type of coach, to train and bring out the best in her..

You just missed it. You played incredibly well. I can see why you can’t play with anyone in the WTA. With your skill and level of play you can make players feel that you can play better with them. Alex needs to work on that serve. It is currently the weakest part of her game. She can’t expect to win matches against the top players if they can easily bully her service game. But we believe she can and will reach top 70 in the world in the next 2 years if she makes her service more potent. Aja aja!
what i see is she to far from the base line when she recieved a ball. improved more on your service and more variety shots on your returned ball. okay not bad. thats the game u win u loss.
Little more of steak and iberico and your opponents frustration will be completed and the rest is yours. Keep it up and you will be a concern to every opponent in the tour

Strong young lady! Needs to work on her movement so she can get into position earlier. Balance, stamina, and tactical training. Her shots are predictable. What a fighter though
disappointing to see Alex not timing her split so often and her court positing be often so incorrect and hitting to many middle court rubbish balls, What is her Coach doing??? I cant even watch the full video I hate seeing players looking like they don’t know what they are doing! She could easily be 5-0 up instead she is 3-2 down. I’m sure she can only improve in this match but I’m disappointed already for her

Sometimes you can’t control your shot. It’s always how the ball is coming to you then you can decide which shot could work. There were balls from Sorana that were so fast that she got caught off guard. She is a working progress. I’m pretty sure they will work on that.
