I have this exact machine. I really love it. It does a beautiful job on super stretchy fabrics like swimwear & aerobic wear. Amazingly the seams are super stretchy with using regular polyester/cotton thread. It also has differential feed adjustments for any type of knit fabrics. So far has worked great on anything I have tried.

WOW 🤩! Your techniques & demonstrating is spot on👌! As many TH-cam videos I came across yours is absolutely the best. At a really good price ($599 no tax, free shipping) I purchased the Janome 2000CPX. Not a Janome fan but do love the 2000CPX. That said, your video was the only one on TH-cam explaining the proper settings for leaving the looper thread inside the machine after threading. And, your the only one explaining where to place the needle threads after threading. Can’t thank you enough for sharing your talents and keeping this video on TH-cam -Thank you. I subscribed 😎

Your video is one of the best ever. I confess I bought this machine a year ago and I'm still fighting it - and I sew for a living so it is disappointing. I'd love to see a tutorial on gathering and elastic binding as you are a great instructor. I keep telling myself I will take time to learn properly, but I am "sew" busy I find that I just work around it. You've given me inspiration to get back to it.

I have had the same machine for a few years and I found your video a lifesaver at the beginning. I even come back occasionally as a reminder if the basics. Not sue I have eve4 seen anyone explain a coverstich machine as clearly. BTW I have the seam guide and love it. I also have the clear foot and believe it should be included since it is indispensable. Thank you.

This video goes over the steps to use the Jenome 1000 CPX coverstitch machine. She did an amazing job of sharing tips on starting and stopping stitching, which seems to be a sticking point for reviewers on some machines on Amazon. I feel confident that following her directions would help many sewers avoid frustration with a coverstitch machine. Thanks again for producing such a useful video.

WOW, WOW, WOW! I don't know how on earth you figured all of that out at the end of the stitching. I have two machines like that, and I never knew that. Even the lady that sold me the machine didn't know it. THANK YOU! I'm going to watch it again to see what you did with that lower looper thread.

Linda at Janome of Canada demonstrated this useful method of locking the ending stitches back in 2009 on the 1000 CP. When these machines were first introduced to the home sewing market, they came with a CD of techniques and demos on how to use all the optional accessories. I believe the content on that CD is now available on TH-cam - definitely worth watching!

Thank you so much for this most informative video. I have just watched one by Janome and the hemming was actually never mentioned. All your tips have motivated me now and given me the confidence to make some accurate hems. Before this I was stumbling around as if blindfolded and wondered how to get the stitching actually on the hem - something that cannot be actually seen when sewing. Really grateful.

This video is fantastic! I, too, felt better about having a separate cover stitch machine from my serger. I recently bought the Janome but did NOT love it until your video. Now that I know a better and more efficient way to end the stitches, I am using it constantly! I still need to tweak things here and there, like hand rolling the wheel to go through 4 thicker layers. But all in all, what a great addition to my sewing room.

Like that little "dental type tool to pull the threads. I have been thinking of buying a coverstitch machine, after watching this video, I feel that it would be nice to have one. I would use it a lot, because a serger can't give me that nice finish and using the twin needles on sewing machine is OK, but just not as nice.

Jo Mercer - Yes, my machine has the removable bed too. It really helps if the circumference is big enough to sit around the bed of the machine.

Thank you so much for taking the time to show how to thread the machine -
I haven't order this machine as of yet -- I do have a serger I haven't used yet - can't see to thread it -- with my eye sight - the 1000 cpx might be a good fit for me

Nice informative video. How to use the provided threader on janome cover pro 900 cpx. I’ve seen one demo but not clear her hand covers of putting threader on the needle

Very informative! I was looking at a Brother cover stitch; however, u made some good points about the Janome having more surface to work with. Might have to reconsider my future purchase. Thanks so much. New subbie.

Yes, do diligent research before purchasing your CoverStitch machine...I love mine...but some of them will definitely provide different features.

I've had this machine for a couple of years and use it regularly but still learned a couple of new things from your video. Thanks so much for posting! One thing, where did you get the little hook? Is it really a dental hook? I need one.
